a reminder, for in case

i was on my way home today, riding in the bike lane on summit ave. i was riding at a pretty good clip. i have cramps & wanted to get home quickly so that i could lay down. i was at the block between milton & chatsworth. a man that was parked to the side opened his car door. he didn't look. he kicked it open with his foot. the door came so close, that it grazed my pant leg. if i had been any slower, it would have been my handlebars. i'd have been thrown into traffic.

i'm not ready to die. it terrifies me on a very deep level. i guess that's a part of my being faithless. i just want you to know that i love you. in case there's a day when that two inches is not on my side.
