I’m curious to know what type of wall art, if any, you ladies display in your homes?
Personally, I am an art fanatic but I’ve never limited my interests to one specific artist. For me it is more so what captures my eye. In a scary sort of way my taste run the gamut from cartoon stills to nude watercolors.
I think in our new place I’m going to use different styles in each room. I simply like too many styles to limit my life, and therefore my home, to one or two. I think in many ways my taste in art represent my personality. Unfortunately, I’m a very moody person with about 6 different personalities. The challenge is going to be making everything flow and not look like a hodge podge of miss matching junk.
From the kitchen you can see into the dinning/living room so the styles have to compliment each other though they will not be the same. This doesn’t worry me too much (yet!). Ideally in the kitchen I want a vintage poster with bright colors. The kitchen is set to be painted a bright deep orange. We both love the color and I think strong colors work well in rooms where not a lot of surface space needs to be painted.
I don’t plan to purchase any new art until we move since I need to see the space but for now I’m thinking something along the lines of this in the kitchen..
Can any of you ladies tell me what these posters say?
Another thing, I know in the dinning or living room (which are both the same room) I want to display some wedding photos on our wall. This will be a challenge - assuming I use the art pieces I’m envisioning at this point.
