So last night was Bedouin and once again they were absolutely amazing! Before the concert we spent a day wandering around Toronto, which was a lot of fun. They have a really nice park. I got berated by a homeless man because I "live good" and apparently he doesn't. We got offered a countless number of hockey tickets, but we already had tickets to Bedouin and that just couldn't be missed. We ate Indian food for dinner, which was excellent, but SOOOOO spicy. Afterwards we realized that we smelled like Indian food for the concert, which was funny. At the concert I had a lot of fun. There was funny people there and this crazy DJ guy who played for way too long, but was still good. We were surrounded by pretty shady characters and I had my traditional almost fight with one of them. Apparently he was quite frightened though because he left afterwards and we watched the remainder of the concert in relative peace. Bedouin played a lot of new material, which was cool. I'm really excited for the new album, but I was a little sad they didn't play Santa Monica, which is my favorite bedouin song. All in all it was a good show, although not as good as they were the other week. After the concert we had a lot of difficulty getting a cab, but luckily the funniest and most illegal cab driver in Toronto pulled up. He jumped out of his cab and ran up to us as we were talking to another cab driver and asked where we were going. Our issue was that we had five people and everyone else told us they were only allowed to take four in a car. Not this guy. He then told us that all the other cab drivers are liars. He asked how I manage to have four wives in Canada. If I was lazy. He told us that taking us to Lindsay should be his job. He basically just talked the entire time. He told us that someone should kidnap Pat Quinn and hide him in Africa so he can coach lions and tigers because he can't coach Canadians. Anyway, he let us out at the car. Oh, and we had to pay him up front because he didn't put the meter on...he's probably been in prison about 8 times, but he's my favorite person in Toronto by far.
Anyway, all in all a very good day!
