Mini-fic. Just one, this time.
Naruto; Madara&Kakuzu + Senju
Madara does not make them meet in forests, now. He gives no reason why, but Kakuzu suspects intolerable nightmares; his leader is not favored of the forest gods and godlings. Madara is stalked, now, when he is in the woods; like a wolf lost from the love of the pack. He shows his teeth and bristles at nothing. He glares at woody glens with his floret eyes spinning, and sometimes leaves the oldest trees in flames.
For all the eldest Uchiha's love of hawks, Kakuzu thinks he's always been more of a dog, at heart; and a dog without a master to take him in hand is nothing but a feral cur. Senju's shadow follows him now, the strong tall man with broad shoulders, fitting in to the spaces between trees. And Madara has no love for the forest.
