that thing I went to do? it did not go well...
I had to pull an all-nighter in West Virginia for our production deployment. I showed up at around 11PM and the guy doing the deployment figured on maybe 3-4 hours. Somehow I doubted that.. largely due to the fact that whole process has never really been tested and some of them don't follow my instructions to the letter, which always turns out badly. At around 10:30AM the next day, I left haggard and delirious. Could I go to sleep? Of course not! I had to go our newly-formed office out there for a little presentation and finally at 3PM or so, started the 4 hour drive back home and arrived at my place subsequently fell into a near-coma until this morning. Needless to say, I did not go to work today. I think the only bright spot was the waitress at Ruby Tuesday. She was hot. I was there late and she asked if I minded if she started sweeping up. I said I did not, but that it would be really cool if she danced around while doing so. I think she would have, but Coldplay was playing.. you cannot dance to Coldplay.
