so much to consider

I had my first phone interview today- it went so well. I LOVE the aims of the B'More Green Project Coordinator, the job I would have. We train people who are unemployed in jobs that help the environment so the help in the long-term is two fold.

Good things:
Love the project
Great experience for what I'm interested in.
Living in a city with a Pro Football team (a state with TWO!)
Experiencing something totally different

However, I have some hang ups, and I don't know how big or small they are.
I would work on a team with 4 other odler individuals, so that is little interaction with people my own age.
I would need to relocate Jan 22 (giving me less than a month at home to get everything prepared).
Financially, I know we live in poverty- but I don't know how ready I am for that right that second.
They don't help me find housing and I'm not familiar with Baltimore at all, I wouldn't know what I was getting into.

Most of my issues are due to the time restraint I think- it is really just too soon. If I had a few months, I could visit the city, familarize myself with the surroundings and such, earn a little money before hand and possibly pay off my car payment before I go-- it would give me more time at home with the family.

Also, huge thing--- more time and starting a later program allows me to be active in the 2008 elections. I wouldn't have as big of an opportunity to do that if I went right away because they don't want outside commitments.

I have 3 other programs I'm under review with right now, and they all start in Sept or sometime in the second half of 2008-- it may be a little late, but I also might want that. And a lot of programs starting in April-July won't take applications for a couple months anyways.
