Back to My Roots!

I dyed my hair black. Well, the package description was dark espresso brown, but it looks black. I feel...like an emo kid, but what can you do until it washes out and lightens up a bit, right? I will have to be an emo kid for the next couple days or so.

The last time I washed my hair (last night, because it's a Housecleaning Saturday for me and I won't wash it again until later), I could still see remnants of color flowing down in the rinse water from my shampoo. It wasn't a lot and it wasn't BLACK, more like a ash-gray-brown color due to dilution in my shower water, thankfully, but still...color. We'll see how things end up, but so far, I feel better that my professional hair coloring and cut can be held over for at least another few weeks. I don't mind the length and the scraggly-like condition as much when it's an even, dark color. I can hold out for another haircut for a few weeks, especially when my new stylist, Jen, costs at least $145 each time I see her for a cut and color.

Other than this change, nothing else has really changed. I've found that my skin is kind of flaky, but that comes with the dry Southern Californian "cold" months. I put "cold" in quotes because...it's colder inside my house than outside right now -- I think it's about 75 degrees outdoors, and a slightly cool 67 or so inside. The evenings have been colder, for sure, but the days are the opposite. It's not bad, but I guess I was expecting the weather to be cooler by now.

Last night, C and I had Peruvian food for dinner...and we went to see Quantum of Solace. I still cannot accept Daniel Craig very well as James Bond, but I think it's because he doesn't have brown hair. He's still pretty hot and his character is all debonair and suave and all that, don't get me wrong, but I don't know...just something about him. He has an imperfect nose, maybe?

Anyway, the movie was fairly good, but I was more entertained by the people attending -- there were these three guys around 18 or so...dressed in tuxedos. Like they were trying to be James Bond. It was slightly disturbing because I thought they had attended a homecoming dance...hence the suit-wearing...but apparently not. Haha. It didn't occur to me until I realized they were there together...without dates!
