Remember these?

Remember when I posted about these?

I got both pairs...and the quality is exactly what I expected, and the sizing is about accurate, but I think I'd forgotten how plump (and NOT PLEASANTLY OR PLEASINGLY or whatever...just full-on PLUMP!) I've gotten the last few months.

When I tried these on, I was very sad. They are a size too small...which means they fit, but they make me muffin-top like nothing else. My butt looks pretty hot in them...but, not with the ooze coming out the top. I need to lose about 2-3 inches in my torso/butt/hamstring/thigh area, total, before I think they will look decently normal. Maybe 4-5 inches to make me look incredible. Haha. The denim is thinner than the ones in the lighter wash, so I expect them to stretch a little bit with time. So maybe they'll end up being a perfect fit if I lose the 2-3 inches all around.

I ended up exchanging these for one size larger, because they are a heavier denim (I guess apparel-wise, it's referred to as denier, but I'm not going to use technical terms loosely). They're cute...and stonewashed in some manner because when I reached in the pockets of the too-small ones, there was sand/dirt lightly lining the inside. Since the denim is heavier, and the material a bit more stiff, I think they won't stretch as easily. I also don't think losing 2-3 inches all around for the other ones will have much bearing on these because of the stiffness.

I dropped off both pairs with Oak, my...seamstress, I guess (she's done all my bridesmaid gowns and pants and some tops)...and she was so cute -- in her heavy Korean accent, she said, "Oh, where you buy these? These EXPENSIVE!"

I said, "Oh, they were on sale for about 50% off on the Internet." (Dude, I have an Asian mom. I know when to make things general and when to include details!)

"This good brand," she said. "You got a good deal! Very nice."

It almost makes the too-tight jeans worth it when someone confirms that you got a good deal. Heh.
