The creator of the phrase FML must be strangled and soon.
I really really might actually strangle the next person that says fuck my life to me, or worse says fml OUT LOUD!! (its three words really now no acronymn needed in real life speak!) However the whole spoken phrase is driving me nuts anyway. Really, i am as much of a pessamist as the next person but really people, not every moment of your pathetic lives is a "fml" moment. Forgetting to do your homework you knew about a month ago is not an "fml" moment, nope thats your own god damned fault for being unorganized, lazy and stupid. And this whole website obsession with this phrase is making me crazy. Like okay i get it it makes you feel better about your own pathetic life laughing at others but its turned people into such pessamists. Its gorgeous and sunny out but all anyone can think about is "FML i forgot my sunglasses" JUST APPRECIATE THAT ITS A BEAUTIFUL DAY! No wonder this country has such a high suicide rate, no one can take a single moment to just appreciate what they do have, even if its something as small as someone holding a door for you, a bird singing outside the window, a warm breeze. These things exist, they are wonderful, small as they may be notice them, especially if you can find the time to make your facebook status say "i just stubbed my toe FML" i think you have time to say "wow that guy i dont know waited an extra second to hold the door for me" And things that effect many people, dont bitch about them to people it also bothered. Case in point: Last night the fire alarm went off in my building at 3 AM, this was not pleasant, i did not want to be awake, outside in the freezing cold either. HOWEVER, receiving a text message from someone else (thankfully not near me in the crowd) saying "fuck my life" made me angry enough to probley start a fire with the flames coming out of my nostrils. Its not fuck your life, its wow this sucks but its part of life living in a dorm. Shut up and get over it we both have class at 8 AM.
