Tagging with Zaheer will doubtless have me describing or explaining why he does the things he does in brackets. Many of the reasons all stem back to abuse. angel's curse
Angel's Curse is a latent family trait that warps a person's view of Zaheer.
When Zaheer feels positive emotions, others are pressed to respond positively to him. (ie; if Zaheer is feeling happy, your character would feel an inclination to feel happy too)
When Zaheer feels negative emotions, others are pressed to respond negatively to him. (ie; if Zaheer is feeling desperate, your character would feel an inclination to react negatively)
This is directly linked to a person's will and magic status, however.
Non-magical people are the most susceptible to feel its effects; magical humans will not be swayed unless his emotions are very powerful and all-consuming. Magical beings or other races (dragons, elves, mutants, anything that is genetically not completely human) are immune to this affect, can see right through it, and will find themselves being able to see that they should/are pressed to feel that way but are not.

Zaheer is extremely hateful to Alourians in his canon; the visual equivalent in Promenade are humans, so those will be the people he will show open violence to.
He is capable of abusing most people through his black magic; it can act as a poison in them if they are Light-inclined or he can use it as brute force and crush bones. If he's angry enough, he will not hesitate to show force with just his fists, wings, teeth and feet. He is very animalistic when angry and a danger to those around him if someone hasn't got a tight leash on him.
Note: the only people Zaheer will never ever touch are children (ages 12 and under) and people of pure goodness.
