[You can see bits and pieces of a storyboard, a few bits of what looks like characters in your artstyle, but... not quite, something different that's not apparent in the rough drafts.]
Storyboarding. Designing. Trying to overcome Writer's Block.
Well I kind of was a little... squishy, when I first showed up. Annd... I dunno.
I've felt some disconnection. I was squishy, then I raged, then I hardened up, then I went insane, and now... here I am. Call it an embellished record of my life in a weird fantasyverse, or something.
Point is, I didn't exactly get through in... one piece, or at least I don't feel like I did.
::Pulls out a small piece of paper with a shit ton of notes.:: Hero's Journey fits.
Ya should have a hero be called to adventure. He then gains aid from the supernatural. He then deals with something that's the threshold between normality and the other.
Den... he should enter the transformation, where he meets a helper and mentor of this otherness to guide him. Afterwards he's challenged and tempted by the forces of the bizarre and otherness, gainin' help.
Finally, after the trials and tribbles, he should hit the depths of the otherside, where he should learn somethin', usually horrifying. And quite possibly kills him in some fashion, but they'll be reborn.
After which he'll gain a great transformation. Then he'll atone for his failures at the heart of the otherness and what killed 'im usually, after which, he returns home, usually with a blessing by a great power.
I know how it usually works, yeah. I'm no dimestore novelist at work, here.
I have that pretty well defined. I also have a lot of story. The heroes' conflicts with other 'chosen warriors' in a ploy by gods, who are destined to rule in their own domain of sorts, who are at odds and not so much with each other through various times in the adventure.
And then there's some significant players that are harboring major secrets, which will be revealed over the course of the story. And part of the whole 'perception', deal.
I have a lot of mentors that guide him but in all sorts of different ways. Especially when perception falters. In the eyes of a cynic there is no right path.
It's a struggle inside and out, and... I'm just not sure how to wrap everything together satisfyingly, just yet.

It's kind of a personal project. Call it my way of... uh. Coping. I guess.

I'm still figuring out the last part. Endings are a bitch.
