So, I leave for Israel less than two weeks, and I'll be there for a little under 2 months. Admittedly, I'm nervous, but also very excited. My plans so far are to fly in at Tel Aviv, stay with my father's family in Rehovot for a while, visit my cousin Susie and her new boyfriend, and eventually make my way up to Haifa to stay with my mother's family. At the end of September, my momma will be joining me. Hopefully, if money and time permit, I'll travel to Turkey or Egypt.
Even though I'll probably be emailing and Skyping a lot, this little journal is a good way for me to keep track of everything I'm doing, and to let my friends know the same thing. It's also a good place for said friends to leave comments about what gifts and relics they need from Israel. Holy water, anyone? Eh?
