If you liked Bizarre Foods, I also highly recommend No Reservations with Anthony Bourdain. Like BF, he goes to different countries and tries their cuisine and meets people, but there's less emphasis on so-called 'weird foods' and more on getting a view of their culture and how it relates to food. I saw an episode where he went back to Cambodia, which was like his first show, and took another look at it (admitting that he'd not done the country justice the first time around). In between eating food, he talked to a lot of people about how the Khmer Rouge affected and is still affecting the country to this day. I was also really impressed by an episode where he went to the Ozarks because he treated the people he met with the same courtesy and respect for their traditions that he shows in other countries.

One thing I do like about both No Reservations and Bizarre Foods is that they don't just focus on foods outside the U.S. and both presenters are very courteous to the people they are visiting. Especially in the case of Bizarre Foods, it's nice to see focus being turned to weird foods in America instead of it all being "Oh, look what those strange foreign people eat!"

Also, you ever come back up this way again, we are taking you to Jungle Jim's International Market. It is foodie heaven. http://www.junglejims.com/

*attempts to hide horns under short hair on head* Dunno...guess it's just one of those things...

Also, Man vs. Food can be highly entertaining, though the show seems to focus mostly on American restaurants but you do get a chance to see a lot of really cool local establishments around the country.

I really love me some food and travel shows. <3 Netflix has been worth every penny because of that.
