CT scan = not something I would ever care to repeat in my life. pH contrast = absolutely disgusting fruit-flavored chalk that I had to drink two full glasses of after six hours of fasting. IV contrast = painful when entering the body.

Oh, bacon, egg, and cheese McGriddle, only you can save the rest of the day.

Was it the kind of scan where you have to lie inside the giant electromagnet? Because that was one of the more terrifying experiences I have ever had. *hugs*

No, I'm pretty sure that's an MRI. What I went through involved being fed, injected with a number of chemicals then going through a ring a few times.

*snugs* Those do sound nasty. Be sure to keep hydrated ... I hear the contrast isn't too kind to you if you don't get it flushed out.

Yeah, I was drinking a lot of water to flush it out of my system. While it was still in my system, it made me feel like absolute crap - I couldn't be at work for more than a couple of hours.

I'm feeling much better now, though. <3
