Dragoncon: Wednesday Edition
More accurately, Hanging Out at karma_aster's Place: Wednesday Edition.
I drove for seven hours. It was fun! Alabama is still a radio wasteland, unless you like country and Christian music. If, however, you are desperately holding onto classic rock to keep from going insane, Alabama is a pernicious wasteland.
However, I finally reached Ryuu's place, and let me tell you, GPS navigators are one of the more awesome pieces of technology currently available.
Ryuu has cats! The cats love people. The cats are also crazy, and we happily spent several hours playing with the cats and catching up with each other.
Then! To Meltons! Where we had hard cider and delicious sandwiches. Hard cider/me = otp. OTfuckingP.
Then! To greycoupon's place to meet with the kittens! There is a tortie, and an adorable fluffy Maine Coon mix, and the mama is this purty, purty tuxedo lady. <3
Then! Back to Meltons so greycoupon could have dinner and hard cider! Ryuu and I split a dessert - large chocolate chip cookie covered in vanilla ice cream and raspberries.
About that time I started fading out because, hey, I'd been on the road for seven hours, and it was somewhere after eleven. We drove around looking for a Wal-Mart to find hair-dye, listening to Animaniacs songs. Yeah, life was good. ^_^
Then back to Ryuu's place, where my latent cleaning tendencies snapped to the surface, and we went through all the piled up junk on her table. It is clean now! This is excelente primo good.
Then I toddled off to bed, and now it's Thursday and we're getting stuff together for going to the hotel. Once we head to the hotel, I will not be back here until Monday for definites.
