Dragon*Con
Yeah, my journal has been angst or writing for the last few months. That's probably not going to change very much in the immediate future, except that at the end of this month, I'll be at Dragon*Con.
Staying with karma_aster, going to meet up with charles_rb, probably going to meet up with heatherbeast, likely will run into negaduck9. Definitely doing the Evening at Bree, going to try to hit the Cruxshadows' concert. If Ringo is doing his "how to kill characters" panel again this year, am so going to that.
Bringing my pirate gear, my firelizard, and my Deceptibodice, which will be the extent of my costuming. I will probably get Eric Flint to sign a book for my dad, and I may get Tom Felton to sign something for me. If I am feeling especially masochistic, I'm going to stand in line to get James Marsters to sign my Dresden Files audiobooks since he's the one who reads them. Should bring my Fafrd and the Grey Mouser collection for Mike Mignola to sign. Bringing books for Cherie Priest to sign, because she is zomg, amazing. Bringing "In the Courts of the Crimson Kings" to get signed, assuming I can find it. Bringing another book from the Thrawn trilogy for Zahn to sign.
I will probably just bask in Leonard Nimoy's and Patrick Stewart's presences because any attempt to talk to them will surely go very, very badly. Also, I hate lines.
So Dragon*Con will be all kinds of awesome. Still need to get with Ryuu and hash out a few details, and the drive there and back will likely lead me to homicide, but what the hell, I like long-car rides that end in awesome.
