"Don't fall in love with your art."
Once upon a time, that had been a standard caution between artists. A necessary caution, too, though so few of the modern artists would understand that. They thought that bringing your art to life was something *they* had invented. This generation would understand Halftone's opera series far better than its original audience did, but they would never believe that it had come from the Golden Age. Nor would they believe it was based on actual people and events.
Very loosely based, as Arbiter liked to remind people, since Halftone had consolidated Etude and Soundwave's roles into one person, and then rewritten events so it made sense for the art-piece's love for his artist to turn murderous.
