Team People: Mudslide

Dec 27, 2006 17:30

Just a short bit with Mudslide about three or four months after he got his powers. I'm still looking for an origin for his powers, since I decided that he's not a mutant, not magical, and he isn't using a device that grants him his geokinesis. (The current suggestion, from my father, was that he was bitten by a radioactive garden gnome.)

BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

If it's not mutant, magic, or device... there aren't many options left. Being part alien, maybe. Or having been a subject of the DNAscent process (which is kind of mutant, but not born-mutant).

Now he was wearing enough earth to provide credible armor for up to an hour at a time without feeling particular drained.

Should be 'particularly.'

I like this! It helps me get a feel for what to expect from the character. He's an artist who, when given powers, decides to go out and fight crime, which is a strange choice, but within those constraints, he tries to be sensible and systematic about it. Very interesting.

I suspect the reason he decided that the logical thing to do with super-powers was to fight crime was because he read comic books when he was younger. Eventually, he might work out his mental issues with whether or not to use the geokinesis with his art.

I'm not sure how logical he'll be in actual game-play, but he does try to be logical about learning how to use his powers. And he's a very firm believer in practicing until he gets it right, and then keep on practicing to make sure he can do it right every single time.
