Le sigh

The problem with wanting to explain one of my TFBlogs characters, with references to how he actually acts in-game, is that I have to go back into TFBlogs to dig up the specific threads. I'm keeping my eyes off the new stuff, but it still makes me sad - I had a lot of fun with that game. The LJ Nexus-based RP isn't anywhere near the same - it's way ( Read more... )

*was about to type something when she notices the new LJ layout* Wow.. nice! ^^

But anyway... though it was okay for you that I NPCed Megatron (or more like, trying to get more Decepticon involvement. Not understanding how it effected you. Tried to continue from what you've done... but then I ended up mocking that "Rude Awakening of Optimus Prime" video on You Tube for the most part. ^^;

The RP there has more or less came to a grinding halt though. I'm currently wasting my free time at the Autobot City RP instead (the forum based off the DeviantART club).

The Nexus? That has left my LJ characters for that waaay behind in the dust. *sigh* :p

Aww.. shucks. ^^

I guess my problem with the Nexus area, is that it is so popular/busy with the kids who have LOTS of free time... and that I rarely have the time to sit down and RP for an hour or so straight on that like so many there do. *sigh* So they see me like some "stranger" and otherwise don't interact with me.

I'll also admit, I'm having a hard time fitting in with the fans who like 3rd season TFs, BWs, and/or Marvel TF's more. I feel more comfortable RPing the pre-movie G1 TFs, and the canon versions of Superlink and Galaxy Force. AU characterization is okay every now and then, but sadly... I'm a canon-connoisseur for the most part. ^^;

So yeah.. that's why I like the Autobot City RP. It's all about the pre-movie canon TF goodness, and it ain't that busy either.

Yeah, sometimes. It's really annoying when I have to leave early or don't have time, because by the time I come back the threads have all become really busy while I've been gone, and I'm left trying to integrate my lot back in somehow after so much has passed.

I have admittedly been missing the elements of pre-movie G1 we used to have. I wonder where they've all gotten to. :\ I liked the pre-movie stuff. I mean true, S3 is cool too, but I'm not as familiar with it as I am with S1 and S2.

*nods* Murphy's Law, in a different way.

The rush of FMA fans scared them off? (in the sages_of_chaos, that is) ;p My guess with the others is that RL and lost of interest took over with them too. ^^

I do so love my Motormaster layout. Which reminds me, I need to do some graphics-work for DE.

Oh, I don't mind you RPing Megatron. Today was just the first time I went to look at TFBlogs since I left, and it just never registered with me before that someone else was playing "my" character. I fortunately stopped myself from sitting down to catch up with the last however many months of RP.

I figured with the moving around the GMs are doing that the 'blogs can't be too active right now, but I didn't think it was that bad. Wish I could come back. 'Cause, among other things, Luna's offered to play Trypticon.

The only reason I'm making an effort to keep up with the Nexus RPing right now is because a) I found the LJ login Firefox plug-in*, and 2) because DE is playing Duskwing over there now, and I do so love Duskwing. He makes me giggle.

*Between this and LJ's new comment-tracking feature, I am so steamed I don't play the 'blogs anymore. Cool tech toys to make my gaming easier! Now no longer as effective as they might be!

Heh.. Shiri more or less gave me the okay, after noticing how lacking the Decepticon side had become there.

I will admit, I was a little uneasy taking on such an influential character as Megatron too. Mostly cause I wasn't sure if I could match his dialogue mannerisms. But I found after taking the moment to envision the embodiment of a cheesy evil villian, I could pull Megs off in a fairly believable manner. *heh* Don't think I could ever match your Megatron style though. ^^;

*nods* The Blogs doens't quite seem the same anymore, no matter.

But if you are curious about a pre-movie RP, and you don't mind the madness that arises from RPing on a message board, you could check out the Autobot City forum. They have a decent balance of Bots to Cons too. (unfortunately, someone just claimed the main 3 insecticons)

Hey, I've got no problem with you playing Megs. *grins* It just hit me that things had definitely changed when I saw that. Also, you had different icons, and I'm a sucker for neat icons.

*nibbles on the Autobot City link thoughtfully* I'll have to wait until the end of the week to check on this - I don't need any more distractions from the paper I have to write. Seeing as I already wasted the weekend by not working on it.

I don't think I've ever seriously tried message board RP, but it can't be any weirder than learning to play on Livejournal, can it?

(No! Kicky! Shrapnel! My darlings! ... Tell me no one has taken Reflector? I mean, it's not likely, but I would terribly unhappy if they did.)

*nods* Kind of reminds me of my college days, and I majored in equine science, with horseback riding classes on the side. We were assigned our own lesson horse each semester, and it was also a moment of "wierd" come the next semester when we get assigned different horses.

The way the AC RP was set up, is that for every different location, you have to post in that location's thread. Or if there isn't a thread for where your character is (or if you and another player are going to be on a posting spree) then you have to make up a new thread (as to not bog down the general location thread).

Oh noes... don't want to be the reason why you didn't get your assignment done! *innocent grin*

(Doesn't look like it. He just gets NPCed from time to time in the Nemisis Control room atm. The Constructicons are still available though.)

Now that's an interesting tactic for the AC RP. I'll definitely check it out later on this week, just after I've gotten my paper written. This really boring paper. Why can't they give us interesting topics? *wails*

At least in my Creative Writing classes, I enjoyed the writing I had to do.

(Oooh, Constructis! Constructics are tasty. *nibbles Mixmaster*)
