My room is admittedly a mess, butu I guess it comes with the territory of being a busy busy student who never lives in her room. What I've always loved about my messes is the order amidst the chaos. The dirty clothes in their greens and greys stick out like sore thumbs. Bottles are up high; books are down low. Necessities live on my desk or in my backpacks. My bed remains a haven for clean clothes and sleepy eyes. A lot of stuff breaks. The room is littered with remnants of good memories, barely months old, but already wisps of my past.
So I got contacts. To most of you this is completely irrelevant, but those of you who know that my sordid past includes a lot of blindness will understand how ecstatic I must be to be able to see. I guess that's really all I have to say. Becky: new and improved.
Also, remember how I used to do science research? On portal fibroblasts? Well, the paper I and my lab wrote on my project was just ACCEPTED for publication to the American Journal of Physiology. OMG. Wow, never thought I'd be a published author on that subject. Now I just need to fine tune my poetry and prose.
Anyway, that's about it. I'm starting to miss figures from home like Mrs. Canalori and Rich Alongi and the Dial. Why aren't you guys making a monthly paper! Despair ensues. Oh well. I am really happy here, it's everything I wanted. Gilbert and Sullivan is in one month, NATS voice competition is Saturday, and my mom comes on Friday. She bought me an ipod.
