Musings...

Even though I'm scared of college (mostly of being rejected by all of my colleges), I'm really glad to be going. Somehow I feel above all of this...I feel like high school is petty and I should be moving on, doing something more. I'm really excited about college; it will be a new adventure, with new people to meet and new things to learn. I can't wait to get away from all this:  my parents, Forest Hill, all of the mental ties holding me back. I know that I have great things to do, and I can't wait to be surrounded by people who are supportive enough to help me do them. The only thing I hope (and that, with all my being) is that Chris can stay close, at least close enough to see once in a while. I love him so much. Everything in my life is going to change once I go to college, and I can't wait. Even my relationship with Chris will change when we both have such a bigger element of freedom in our lives. Freedom and responsibility. When everything that you do relies solely on you. I really can't wait. It's something that I've had most of my life, the responsibility part. My mother never checked up to see if I did my homework or even acted like she cared about my grades...so at least that part of my life I know I have been fully responsible for. And it makes me proud, knowing that what I am today is my own creation. All of my hard work has not been for naught (no pun intended >< ). I just can't wait to be away from all of this...

On another note, I'm reading Brave New World per Chris Manzano's recommendation, and it's AWESOME! I love good books that totally engross your mind and make you pensive. I haven't read a really engrossing book in so long, and one that makes you think, too! Fiction rocks my socks! :D And I have to say that being out of IB is the best thing ever...I actually have friggin' free reading time. Rawr! It makes me happy :)

Books to read:
Eldest (2nd book of the Eragon trilogy)
Wheel of Time books 6-11
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows (when it comes out)
Wicked and whatever the next book is after that
I'm sure there's more stuff I don't know yet.......
The Tao of Pooh (I saw this in Barnes & Noble and I sooo wanted to read it!)
