In case you're not in Michigan, or if you're one of the two people under a rock and haven't already heard, Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick pleads guilty to 2 felony counts and admits to lying in court.  He resigns as mayor, agrees to go to jail for 4 months, and to pay $1M to the city.
