whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat....becky kohn updating!?!?!?
New World was so awesome. I definately recommend...even if you're not the biggest poco fan as I. It was so brilliantly made, the story was so awesomely done, and even colin farrell (who I've never really liked) totally blew me away. But in the end it had a good moral....poco rules
Anyway found this poem I wrote a while back. I like it. Doesnt mean much, sure it did at the time I wrote it but can't really remember now what it was.
The Wolf and The Caged Bird.
THis land has lost its luster, theres noone here who can be trusted.
THe caged bird cries "I can see the truth behind all those beautiful blue eyes!"
THe cry is lost in the sea of self-affliction.
Behind these brown eyes the plans are revealed...
Noone can be trusted--
the lambs lie and cheat and steal.
Here sits the caged bird in the suit of the devilish wolf...
paper to pen, paper to pen--whats your story, friend?
Once upon a time...so begins the deceit,
the pain, the lies, the cheating blue eyes-- death, death, death.
Count the stars to sleep because even the sheep can't be trusted.
One, blood, two, murder, three, self-afflicted pain.
Count the caged birds, count the wolfs.
Count the number of times you've been hurt.
Never good enough for him or her, or you or me or them.
Never pretty enough, loyal enough, smart enough, sexy enough.
Never perfect enough.
Count your blessings as you rock to sleep.
One, rock, two, rock, three sleep--deep deep sleep.
Please someone up there answer me.
The keys, the bees and her tea, sitting on the porch with Mrs. Lee.
The wolf cries "You're killing me silently yet surely!"
The cry is lost in the sea of self-indulgence.
The lambs smirk,
the worlf dies,
the caged bird cries.
Now and forever locked in its cage of despair and loneliness.
Definately needs help on the end....suggestions are welcome. critics on the other hand can bug off.
