Thank you, so much. It was absolutely wonderful to write (Five! *squee*), my beta was fantastic and smoothing off the rough bits I kept having, and - I am thrilled to bits that you enjoyed it.

Thanks - that was really cool. There's never enough Five for my tastes, and I love seeinf Five/Jack.

One tiny point... Five's TARDIS doesn't have grillwork. Not that it matters, really, this was still really well written.

*facepalms and fixes*

Thank you for that! I completely forgot what his floor looked like.

And I'm really glad that you enjoyed this and thought it was written well.

I commented on the grillwork and nothing clicked at all in my head! I am a bad, bad beta.

You are not a bad beta! You had *a lot* to deal with in this and made it so, immeasurably, better.

And all better now.

Ooh, what a lovely surprise: a bedtime porn story from Becky! :-)

I like this a lot. I really love the Gallifrey/Jack fixed point in time idea, and I love the way you expanded on it here. And the rain. And the key. And the stuff about expectations. I'm glad Jack still wanted to be with the Doctor. I was afraid he'd got over him or something and would just want to be friends.

Couple of typos (because I can't help noticing them - sorry):

The damp turned the fine blond hair, and pale skin luminescent under the light - the comma after 'hair' confused me; I don't think there should be one.

Jack didn't mine - mind

Looking forward to coming back and reading this again when I'm more awake!

Bwah. You were commenting just as I was fixing the mine/mind thing and I grabbed the comma while I was there. Don't apologize, it's great. And I'm about to hit you with the second half of the Countrycide AU (well, tomorrow) after I've had a few people check it out, first.

...I've got real life insanity happening and I can't do anything about it. The result's pretty obvious. Fic = Good.

Ah well, that's what you get for not waiting till I was in bed to post this *grin*

And I look forward to seeing the rest of the Countrycide story, and anything else you care to shove my way. I love reading your stuff :-)

I love you reading my stuff, too - you are *incredible* at catching my mistakes. I am a much better writer for you, and the others, who read my stuff and I'm sure the readers are at least as appreciative as I am, even if they don't see all the early stuff that gets swept up.

And I'm babbling and *thank you*, again.

Beautiful. And the Jack/Gallifrey fixed point parallel is still heartbreaking. *sniffles*

Thank you, so much.

I really loved the parallel. I feel better now that I've given it a bit more than a tiny ficlet, and I'm glad it still works for you.

I really adore the way you describe Five, even though he's not my favourite Doctor.

And that parallel just makes so much sense. I wonder what would happen if Jack confronted Ten with this... ;-)

I'm not sure Five's my favorite, but he's my favorite contrast to Nine - does that make sense?

...So do I. Wonder I mean.

Dammit.
