- I have lost my voice. There is a reward for anyone who finds it. Preferably before Induction Hell Week starts next week.
- Reason for losing my voice? Meeting with geeky friends for The Andy's Legendary Birthday Pub Crawl and talking non-stop for about five hours... and then going to my sister's Hen/Batchelorette party.
Things I learned: I can't make cocktails to save my *life*, everyone gets confused as to which sibling is which (I have three sisters), that I have crazy/awesome friends and I can be sociable with people I don't really know! Also, hot guys in 1940's Air Force Uniforms beat out strippers in US Navy whites any day.
- For those of you in need of a good laugh/something to go 'awww' over:
definition of 'adorkable' - (Prof) Brian Cox as a teenager - Better late than never... An Icon Meme pinched from
sgflutegirl 1. Reply to this post with the word TIME LORDS (or ABNORMALS) and I will pick six of your icons.
2. Make a post (including this info) and talk about the icons I chose.
3. Other people can then comment to you and make their own posts.
4. This will create a never ending cycle of icon glee.

jesskatIf you are not au fait with the works of Sir Terry Pratchett, this icon won't make a blind bit of sense... The very short version is that it's Hex, who is a... well, we'd call him a computer. Who exists in the Discworld - Unseen University to be exact. What he'd call himself is possibly 'alive'. From time to time he spits out weird messages - like this one.
This is (one of!) my books/whut?! icons. Because, from time to time we *all* need for the Universe to be rebooted!;)

jackshoegazerI think this icon is really quite self explanatory. This is for when the wee monster brain just goes kaboom. Be it over the general stupidity of the 'verse or movies. This is the icon I pick out.

mrs_spockNow, I *love* this icon. I've always liked icons that are fandom mash-ups. This is possibly one of the finest I've ever seen - Art and one of the most famous (non-inflamatory!) gestures of all time.
IDIC. If you haven't noticed already - I'm a bit of a Trekkie - have been for over twenty years and have no intent of giving up just yet;)

iconsbycurtanaThis is one that I don't use that often. Which is a shame as the world could really do with more 'Disco Kosh'!
Yes, this is one of my 'surrealist' icons - for those times when I'm being a bit too off the meds for my own good. For those of you who don't recognise Kosh Ulkesh (for that is... it!) go watch Babylon 5. You'll thank me for it.

medicocrechickNow, this one I saw on someone else's LJ (possibly Lunie's) and just had to have it. I may not talk much about music, mainly because my taste is about ten years out of date and a bit eclectic! but it's a big part of my life. That and the image is so adorably cute/dorky!

roxiconsThe sky at night as seen with an long exposure photograph. Can you say 'astronomy' geek? Yes, it did take a certain 'heavenly body' in the shape of Professor Brian Cox (may the universe forgive me for such a *crap* pun!) to re-ignite my interest in astronomy again but it's always been there. One of the most beautiful sights in nature is the night sky on a clear night. I may only be able to point out Orion and possibly Cassiopea but I can;)
So, there you go. If you have any questions about any other icons, just ask. More than happy to answer them!
