A little heavy on Tomb Raider ripoffs and Harry Potter homages, but not bad. The flying bus didn't bug me until the end, because honestly, they've got UNIT there, they could track her or simply shoot her ass out of the sky if they wanted, if only to keep her from taking off with alien tech.

I think I had a better first impression of The Next Doctor though, but I liked the new characters other than Lara Croft Christina. Was kind of bummed The Fly Guys didn't survive, because I wanted to see a WTF? reaction from the rest of the bus passengers.

At least Christina won't be a regular. Fun in short term, but not what the Doctor needs in the long term.

I had this feeling that she wanted to go with the Doctor for her "grand escape" more than anything but soon even traveling through space and time wouldn't be enough. That would be too "passive" for her, so she'd start plotting heists again, even if it was just getting a bit sticky fingered with the antiques. I was surprised she didn't make a grab for the crystal at the end, so she could claim it for her retirement fund.

I do wonder if Malcolm and the two new UNIT recruits will show up in the near future. It definitely seemed to be a setup for that to happen, which will be interesting since Malcolm has already shown the Doctor has his loyalty before UNIT, and I bet the new recruits will feel the same.
