Summary: A quick response to Ianto's actions. As always, feedback very welcome.
Ianto smiled warmly at Jack as he marched into the hub. Jack did not return the smile.
“Why Ianto?” he asked coldly. Without asking, Ianto knew what he meant.
“Because if I hadn’t she would have kept looking,” he replied, and then with certainty he added, “She would have found it eventually.”
“You didn’t have to leave her directions!”
“Would you have?” This took him aback.
“She was better off not knowing!”
Ianto bit his tongue and looked away. He didn’t want to make Jack angrier than he already was. He had the air of a storm in a teacup about him. Jack took a deep breath.
“Next time,” he said. “Come to me first.” He turned to leave.
“I did,” said Ianto simply. “You didn’t listen.”
