As everyone knows, or at least i think everyone knows i'm part of the "Prayer Team" for Breakaway Ministries out here in COllege Station. We are reponsible for writing 1 devotional each semester and this isn't something i usually talk about to everyone back home, but just thought i'd post my devotional i sent out this week on here, and maybe it will serve a purpose for one of yall. :) I know this isn't a side of me yall probably know, but i guess there's a first for everything.

I’ve always known the power of prayer, but more so recently I have observed the power of prayer. In the past couple of weeks I’ve seen myself begin to appreciate prayer a lot more then I had in past semesters or just times in general in my life. This isn’t saying that I didn’t appreciate it, or that I didn’t understand it. I just realized the POWER of it. Along with power comes, peace, hope, and faith. A bible verse comes to mind every time I sit down and write out my prayers or during one of the many times I pray those little requests throughout the day. “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.” Matthew 7:7-8. This I feel explains everything about prayer. That the Lord is always there, and is always listening to anything you ask of him. As long as you stay on the correct path and that’s the path the Lord has planned for you and not what you have planned for yourself. Its not saying every prayer will be answered the way you would like for it to be, but saying that through prayer and faith you will find what you are destined to learn from your belief in the Lord. So this week you might take a different look at how you pray and maybe step back and view what has come of many of your prayers from the past, and see how God has worked out many problems or situations in your life before your very eyes. Give thanks for God's blessings he gives us everyday that we might not always see! I hope everyone has a wonderful week! God bless all of you!

“All who call on God in true faith…will certainly be heard, and will receive what they have asked…although not in the hour or in the measure, or the very thing which they ask; yet they will obtain something greater and more glorious than they had dared to ask.”
-Martin Luther King
