Hi there. I stumbled across your name when doing an info search for Hank Azaria and was drawn in by "the National Sarcasm Society". And there seem to be a few things that show up bolded in your info, which always seems a good sign to me. I was especially pleased to find another Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead fan (and promptly scampered over to join rosnguil after reading another comment to this entry). Let me conclude this before I frolic off into Tangentland as usual by saying, may I add you?

(The add back is implied, of course. And typing this just negated that lovely implication. Damn.)

Sure! It's great to meet another R&G fan, and it seems like we have a bunch of other things in common as well...DRS being a big one! Gotta love that show!

And I'll definately add you back! :D

Love the icon! Oh man, DRS is my latest obsession; I went to see it a few weeks ago even though I really didn't have the time or money, and already I'm planning to go see it again in May!

Thanks! Gotta love Ruprecht! :D

I saw the show two weeks ago over Spring Break and I fell in love! I think I loved Jonathan Pryce more that I would have ever loved John Lithgow...he was just too good!

And I really want to see it again too! :D

Jonathan Pryce was amazing. I liked him better than I like Lithgow on the recording too. I especially loved him and Norbert cracking up during "Ruprecht", and all his humor was just so wry...those eyebrows! And he was so nice at the stage door too.

Oh, he's definately better than Lithgow on the recording! I mean, he's got a REAL English accent! :D

OH MAN. They were hysterical during "Ruprecht"! When they were singing "Ruffhousin' mit Shuffhausen", or right before it when Jonathan was tickling Norbert's foot, he did it in such a way that Norbert actually cracked up for a good 3 minutes...and then they continued the show.

In a word, it was amazing. :D

Argh, you're just making it that much harder to wait until I can see it again!

I want to see it again too! And this time I want to get to the Stage Door...I was with my mom when I saw it, and she didn't want to wait for them to come out.

When I get home in May I'm SO seeing it again!

I'm definitely going to the stage door again when I see it in May too. I went last time, but Norbert snuck out another door so I didn't get to see him; Rachel York kind of ran off before most people even realized it was her; Mylinda Hull was nice but didn't chat or sign anything. The only two I met were Gregory Jbara and Jonathan Pryce. Greg was wonderfully sweet (he even gave us his Sharpie in case Jonathan didn't have one with him to sign stuff), and Jonathan was very nice and respectful, but he had auctioned off champagne in his dressing room for Broadway Cares so he didn't make it out until like an hour after the show finished and he was very tired (he remarked on how cold my hand was when he shook it and seemed kind of surprised that people had waited that long in the cold!) But that was my first stage door experience, so I was pretty excited!

Oh man. To have been able to meet Jonathan Pryce!

*sigh*

Since I couldn't meet him I bought a signed picture by him and Norbert for Broadway Cares -- the one that your icon is made from, actually.

I've had a bunch of stage-door experiences. I've waited by Aida, The Boy From Oz, and Spamalot (twice!!)...I think that's it, though. But I really want to do it for DRS! :D

I'm mad at myself for having lived in Boston for two and a half years and not making the trip into New York until now (though I went twice with band from Minnesota--a much longer trip)! I didn't even know about the whole stage door phenomenon until a couple weeks before I went, so I'm so glad I heard about it! It was definitely thrilling. I was by myself, so I didn't have to worry about anyone not wanting to wait with me. I almost chickened out, but luckily I convinced myself to go...I had already had the best seat I've ever been in for the show (4th row orchestra!) so I was all bouncy and excited even before I met Greg and Jonathan! My friends must have thought I was on crack when I got home and told them about it.

I am so saving all my money next year to go to New York many, many times and have many, many more stage door experiences (and see many, many shows, of course)! And the experience made up my mind to live within traveling distance of the city as much as I can for the rest of my life!

Ah, it's so much fun going to the stage door!

I was in the 5th row orchestra, which was awesome. That's the closest I've ever been for a B'way show!

Yay NYC! ^_____^
