I've been thinking lately (*gasp* shock horror etc.) and I've realised, among many things how uninvolved in fandom I am now. I can point it back to the very day, as I'm sure lots of people can. But it's sort of sad how now I barely look at the communities anymore dedicated to my ship or even general HP, and I don't write/read any HP or make icons

i know exactly what you mean.. i'm not really into everything as much as I used to be. my fansites haven't been updated since New Year's or longer, i've not done any fanart for over a year [apart from on pictures of myself for myspace haha]..

i kinda miss it now and then but.. what can ya do!

I think after the whole HBP fiasco and all the fanfom flame wars that followed, I kind of lost interest. I mean, I still love my ship and HP, but I'm not so much into it anymore, and the fact that I have very little free time lately doesn't much help matters...

I think eveyone's involvement in fandom wanes during books, at least to some degree. It's natural. But I know that I am going to be a fully fledged fangirl when Book 7 comes out. ;)
