I'm officially exhausted now :) And sick with another cold/sinus deal. And I have 11 canker sores inside my top lip- but that's from drinking a gallon of grapefruit juice last week. Oops.

The BBC came this morning to tape us "doing normal things" like-er- making a big breakfast on a Thursday morning. No, it wasn't footage of me making toast- or pouring goldfish into a bag to take with Noe on the way to school like a NORMAL thursday morning... ;) So, we had to wait until they had the camera rolling to start breakfast. And we didn't talk the first few minutes, but after we got started, the producer asked us lots of questions and we got to talking. But, reality TV really isn't reality TV- which I knew, but learned in person. I had to set the bowl of strawberries down onto the table twice so they could get the shot. Then, as soon as we had a couple forkfuls of food in our mouths, we had to go outside to shoot some scenes. So much for enjoying our breakfast ;)

Noe was SO cute on film- she said she had a boyfriend (Preston) but hadn't kissed him yet- and that she'd like to be a DJ like daddy, but a "quiet one". They thought it was such a big deal that Ryan has a stage name- and we had to tell the story like 4 times, so I expect that they'll make a big deal out of it. (story: Ryan used to be on the radio and his boss told him that his real name wasn't good- it doesn't roll off the tongue- so it became Scotty O'Brien and just stuck...). I told the story of how he proposed, how we met, and it was all fairly light conversation. Of course, we had to talk about the presence of his experience on "the cruise" and how it affected us. (not much, other than this week!).

Of course, St.Louis couldn't have NORMAL weather like we usually have in September- it has to be REALLY F^&*ing HOT out, so all the shots of us outside are of us sweating. YAY.

Wednesday, they set up our game room and filmed Ryan in front of the jukebox

There's a pineapple on the jukebox behind him that will be the theme in all the shots of all the people they taped. They put headphones and sunglasses on him. His name's Percy. He's a Del Monte.

This is Paul the producer and Simon the sound guy checking the shot- that's our basement in the doorway of the game room. They kind of rearranged it for their shot- they added records behind Ryan and moved the couch, etc.

This is the BBC walking thru my yard barefoot. Hardly glamorous- watch out for dog poop! Ryan added the flag to welcom them on the lower deck. We have 75 more in the garage left over from an event last year....at least we reused one of them.

They were very interested in the hot tub. We weren't expecting that, and therefore I bet they have some great footage of foamy water, complete with a few dead bugs and dirt on the foam. Had we known they'd be so interested in it, we would have shocked it and cleaned it out- we haven't used it in a coupld weeks. Oops! Now the world can see the dirt we soak in...

Hot tubs are so cool! Except for when it's 90 outside. Oops, forgot to put away the chemicals. Oh well...

I'll remember more, but all in all, it was a great experience. I was less nervous than I thought- and so was Ryan. Noe was cute on film- and they shot Sonny too. Bella wouldn't come out of her crate this morning, so she's probably not in any shots. The camera guy was on the original staff 10 years ago and Ryan had drinks with him when on the ship- he was so nice. Pete was his name.

I think it'll air in November, but more likely in January. sourpuss and eugenesucks, keep me posted if you see any ads!

So, that's done- I think I'll go pick up Noe from school, make dinner and collapse into bed. :)
