OH, what a boring day. I have a nasty headache, but that's OK.
Oh, and by the way, HTF do you lose a 70 lb turtle? Just ask this dickweed that runs a pet store/kennel near here...
Chesterfield Man Looking For His Missing Turtle
(KSDK) - He's escaped but he's not exactly on the run. And those looking for him are asking for help.
"I feel good that this is the place that we're going to be finding him," Paul Schifano said. He's lost someone special. His friend, Charlie, ran away, or crawled away.
Charlie is a rescued African Sulcata Tortoise. His unofficial title is "mascot" for Schifano's Petropolis Pet Shop. That's the last place anyone at the store has seen Charlie. Earlier in the week, he left his home and headed straight for the door. Charlie pushed the door open himself, and kept going.
Despite the fact that Charlie moves slow, he does keep moving. His owner thinks he can cover as much as five miles in a day. Charlie took off on Monday, so by now he could have covered a lot of ground."
Charlie has been spotted, but not all of the tips have been good ones. Schifano expects to find Charlie in a low cut, open area. He hopes to find him soon.
"My concern for him as a veterinarian are some of the weeds he might eat, Schifano said. "We don't want him to eat anything poisonous. But I think a bigger concern are large animals. Raccoons wouldn't be a good choice for him and of course there are some larger and more dangerous animals."
A search party will head out Sunday morning to look for Charlie. There is a $1000 reward for his safe return.
