Thank Goodness
This is going to sound really silly, but my heart really needed Patrick to win. I know that politics shouldn't have much to do with my general outlook on things, but last night when I saw the election results it suddenly hit me: I needed this win. I've been wrapped up for so long in this world at work where the attitude/values are Baker, and even though I've been trying to break out to a place where the attitude/values are Patrick, it hasn't worked so far.
If Baker had won Gov I would have felt hopeless that someday I'll be in a Patrick place instead of a Baker place. Now everything is restored and I know it will happen if I just keep working at it.
