So my Japanese tutor started a Japanese summer camp program for some of her students, and I was invited. =D I had to wake up early to get there, since she lives in Boca and it takes about an hour to drive there from Miami, but I'm enjoying it so far. XD

It's about four hours a day of lessons, including vocabulary, singing Japanese songs, and cooking Japanese food. ^^ And one of the students, Aozora, is from Japan, so we get to practice talking Japanese with her. XD The other students are a 13-year-old boy (Sam) and a 15-year old girl (Catherine) by the way. ^^ They're all really nice. =D

But yeah, about the cooking, I was uber brave today and despite my picky eating habits, I tried Okonomiyaki. =D It's basically called the Japanese equivalent of a pancake (though really the closest equivalent is more like an omelet o.o), and can be prepared in lots of different ways, but the ones we made today had the dough (flour, water, and eggs), cabbage, chives, bonito flakes, tuna, and mini shrimp. I was pretty worried because of the seafood part, but I'd already agreed to try it, since I'd actually wanted to try Okonomiyaki for a while. XD" It wasn't bad but it wasn't exactly my taste either. o.o I somehow had three bites of it, though, including one bite with this special sweet-ish sauce I don't know the official name of. XD" I think I might like it better if I were to make it without the fish. o.o

Starting tomorrow, I'm going to be staying at my teacher's house for the week, because otherwise my mom would have to drive me for about two hours a day until the program ends. XD" I think Aozora is going to be staying there, too. =D

When I got home today, I saw that the "hide Bible" book I pre-ordered finally arrived in the mail today. =D There's tons of gorgeous photos in there. *_* And interviews/commentary about hide from a lot of Jrockers, from current bands to each member of X Japan. =D Of course, those are in Japanese, so I'm going to need help translating. Maybe my Japanese teacher can help me out after lessons. XD An surprisingly, Yoshiki's interview is even shorter than Pata's. O_o Pata's is about 4-5 pages long, while Yoshiki's barely covers a page. o.o But then again, that's not too surprising if Yo-chan still has trouble talking about hide. ;_;

And to wrap up my exciting day, I finally saw Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. =D I looked online and found out it was only going to be at the theater closest to me for another two days, so I knew I had to see it today. XD When my dad and I got there, we got a parking space easily, had no line for the concession stand, and walked into an empty theater! =DDDD Of course, the exact moment the screen said "Feature Presentation", some mom and her two daughters walked in. And sat down in the row right in front of us, even though all the other seats in the theater were available. O_o WTF. And the daughters talked every five minutes. =_= Dad and I moved to the back of the theater at one point, and we could still hear them! Luckily, they stopped after I walked over and politely asked the mom to tell the girls to be quiet, and they left about halfway through the movie anyway for some reason. XD And one other kid who showed up later spontaneously cried out occasionally (though he wasn't as loud and didn't make noise as often as the other girls). But other than that, it was a perfect experience. =D Yay for seeing an Indiana Jones movie in theaters. XD And it's just as good as the movies in the original trilogy, too. ^_^

Edit- Yikes. X_x I hope he'll be okay!
