(no subject)
It turns out my sister and my dad aren't going to LA next week, so I won't be able to make it to the Miyavi concert after all. =( I bought my ticket through Ticketmaster, though, so I should be able to get a refund, or maybe sell it to a fan who needs it. ^^
But that means I can focus on trying to get tickets to see X Japan in Paris. XD Since I'm already going to Italy with my family for sure on July 10th, I think all I have to do to guarantee being able to go to Paris a few days before then is to get a ticket for the X Japan concert (maybe two if mom decides to go). XD For once it's actually a good thing we haven't arranged the flights yet. XD"
Oh, and I finally came up with ideas for the gift paintings I'm going to make for X Japan before the New York concert! =D I did some concept drawings and wrote notes about my ideas yesterday. XD I might have to come up with another gift for them that I can do before July if it turns out I can see them in Paris, too, though. XD" Maybe a drawing or painting of the whole band in one picture? XD
And I'm home for the summer! =D 4 months of no classes, yay! XD Though my first semester once I get back is already looking promising. One of my best friends from high school will be a freshman at my school next year, and two of my other high school friends are going to a college in Boston, so I'll have friends who live nearby again! ^_^ Not to mention some of the friends I made this year, who lived in one of the other dorms, will all be in my dorm building next year. =D And my classes sound awesome, and I was able to get a new room on the top floor so I won't have annoying noisy neighbors anymore (and the room is supposed to be bigger than my old one, too!), and of course I get to see X JAPAN two weeks after I get back to New York! ^___^
Overall, despite a few setbacks, this was a pretty good year for me though. o.o I mean, sure sometimes I got stressed from the workload, or lonely because all of my closest friends were so far away (not just different dorm buildings, but mostly more like other states and even other countries!), or just plain annoyed with most of the other students there. @_@ But looking back, there wasn't anything bad that happened this year that was any worse than things I'd faced in, say, middle school (which was way, WAY worse, by the way). o.o
And there were lots of good things, too! Most of them happened outside of school, though. XD" Like all the Jrock volunteer jobs I got to do, and the concerts I got to see, and even just the freedom of being able to go anywhere in the city whenever I felt like it. XD And of course the weekend I spent in Japan for the X Japan reunion concerts (which I still say was the best weekend of my entire life, by the way!). =D
So yeah, to sum it up, life is great and this entry is getting much longer than I intended it to be. XD"
