(no subject)
So the mouse seems to be gone for now. I still haven't seen it since I first saw it in here, which means either it decided not to move from the corner, or it left the room somehow. XD"
I was in the kitchen for the last two hours making Pumpkin Croquettes, which is a recipe from a Japanese cookbook I got at the anime convention I went to last weekend. XD They tasted even better than I thought they would. =D Hooray for finding another food I can eat. XD Well, technically not since they're fried, but I did try to use as little oil as possible, and I used olive oil, so hopefully that makes up for it. XD
More about today's other events:
First I went to the Museum of the American Indian, and did a drawing there for a class assignment. I'd been wanting to visit this museum anyway for a while, since I've always been interested in Native American culture. ^^ It was really cool. Small, and a lot of the rooms were being renovated, but I enjoyed seeing what was there anyway. Plus the building for the museum is big and really pretty. *_* And I'm happy with how my drawing for class turned out. ^^ Maybe I'll post it here if anyone's interested.
Anyway, after I was done there, I decided that since I was in Battery Park anyway, I'd try to go see the Statue of Liberty. XD But that didn't work out because tickets to go into the statue were sold out for the day. D= I did hang out in the park a bit longer though, and did some more sketches. I also saw these street performers who did awesome stunts like breakdancing, doing jumping jacks on their hands, and this one guy did a flip over five people in a row!
Then I went to the awesome new Japanese punk clothes store I mentioned in the other entry. XD" On the way back, I saw a park and decided to walk through there. There was a special section of the park exclusively for people to let their dogs run around and play. So of course me being the huge dog lover that I am, I spent the next few hours trying to draw the dogs whenever they actually stayed still long enough. XD The sketches I managed to finish turned out pretty good I think. ^^
So yeah, all in all a fun day, and it made up for being cooped up in my dorm on Friday and Saturday due to being more allergic/possibly sick than usual. XD"
