Okay, so it was bad enough that
this lady, Nadya Suleman, had octuplets even though she already had six other kids and her mom, who she lives with, filed for bankruptcy last year, but now it turns out they were all born in vitro, and she doesn't even have a husband. She's just obsessed with having kids.
I'm sorry, but that's just selfish. Having kids just for the sake of having kids is never a good idea. First of all, it's expensive even to raise one kid. Just to give birth costs thousands of dollars. So how is she going to manage fourteen, especially in her financial condition? Plus, in vitro, being a relatively new method, costs more than a regular birth, I'm sure. I'll bet she blew all her money just to bring those kids into the world. @_@
Wait, nevermind. I just read this part, which is a quote from a woman named Yolanda who took care of one of her sons:
"She told me that all of her kids were through in vitro, and I said 'Gosh, how can you afford that and go to school at the same time?'" she added. "And she said it's because she got paid for it."
...What? Sadly, Yolanda didn't elaborate because she hadn't asked Nadya for details.
Also, in this day and age, it's really not necessary to have that many kids. Especially when we already have problems like overpopulation, world hunger, and poverty, not to mention kids who need to be adopted. All of these things could be reversed if people have fewer kids. I know the world hunger and poverty bit sounds like an exaggeration, but think about it. People need to eat, and like I said earlier, it costs money to raise children. So every time this woman goes grocery shopping, she'll be spending hundreds of dollars because she needs to buy food for fifteen people (the kids and herself, since apparently her mom has had enough of this craziness and threatened to leave). Meanwhile, there's people out there who can't even afford food for themselves, let alone enough people to fill multiple tables at a restaurant. D=
