hey friends.
i haven't updated this thing... in ten months? wow. that is a long time. lots has changed since last we spoke. i'm moving to boston... like.... on sunday. i'm going to community college and will be taking american sign language classes with nan moore. i'm actually staying with her for a hot second while i look for a more permanent place to live/wait to hear back from some cooperative living spaces i applied to. one of them replied instantly, asking if i wanted to come have dinner with them and get the know the "house" so... yay? i'm wicked nervous and also stoked on it.
i left SO MUCH STUFF at both of my parents houses the first time i moved out. i forgot all about it, that is until my parents informed me they were tossing my junk unless i brought it with me or put it in storage. this means i had not only TWO closets full of crap to sort through, but also an attic, and my storage space filled with furniture, (most of which i donated to goodwill)
i have avoided buying groceries this past week so i won't have to toss away food when i leave. today i ate pickles for breakfast, standing over the kitchen sink so as not to dirty my dishes. i avoided eating again until a few hours ago when i decided to order Indian food, but instead drove to Taco Bell, because i am LAZY, and apparently the type of person who supports CORPORATIONS. i bought a bunch of stuff from TARGET a few days ago, and my sixteen-year-old self is SO ASHAMED, but my twenty-year-old self is telling her to shut the fuck up, because Target is cheap and awesome. i am also the kind of person who drives cars now, so this is me, admitting that i am a whore to THE MAN, and i've become just another COG in the corporate GREED MACHINE (except not really).
so anyway. i miss you folks and it looks like i'll be living in close proximity to some of you, so maybe we should plan to bump into each other sometime.
