And I read comics, too! But this was long enough as it was. Tumblr hiatses are awesome today.

♥ ♥ ♥ → Sometimes I am reminded of how I have weird sayings. I've been using, "Go cry on your mountain of porn!" a lot again lately, which is something I started saying back in... mmm, I believe the KHR fandom, because the Dino/Hibari shippers were really kind of everywhere and, every so often, someone would be like UGH THIS PAIRING SUCKS WHY IS ( Read more... )

go cry on your mountain of porn is epic. I want to steal it. I'm in a fandom and there are twelve stories with my ship compared to thousands of the main ship. And of that twelve, four are over 1k words. And of those four, two are good.

I have weird sayings, too. I tend to say "pats for Patrick" in regards to complimenting on stupid things. It's from an episode of Sponge Bob. "I'm with Stupid" and Patrick's fake parents said, you found know your own name, yay, Pats for Patrick while he looks murderously on.

I often say, do you want a cookie? When people look to me for congratulations for doing whatever. And I often do not actually have those cookies. My kid will be all: I didn't swear that time at least and I'm all, do you want a cookie or something?

I tend to say something's "made of sauce" when I like it. Which is derived from Awesome....which led to Awesomecakes and Awesomecakes covered in Awesomesauce and then Awesome and made with sauce. To the travesty I mentioned before.

I also tend to make references to stuff to an audience that doesn't get the reference. like I told a friend I had an immune system like a quarian, which only makes sense if you've played Mass Effect. I also told my dad I wanted a tattoo of a poem written in Shyriiwook, which only makes sense if you're the sorta Star Wars nerd I am.

Oh, and lastly, I tend to reference Spoonman as the most irritating, hated, overplayed song in existence. Like, I hated it like Spoonman means something bad. Or it's worse than Cold Creek Manor. Which really does require prior knowledge of stuff I hate.

Feel free to use it! I like to think it would help both sides--to be reminded that, hey, you have a mountain of porn to read so stop being bothered when so much as one little person doesn't like your precious ship! Because people are always going to be frustrated when they don't like a ship that's everywhere. Even if some of them take it over the line and end up being assholes about it.

Oh, I love cute sayings! I am ALL ABOUT MEME CULTURE these days. I used to be a little scornful of internet meme slang, but eventually the lolspeak got to me and NOW I LOVE IT. I love nerd culture and nerd references and finding humorous ways to vent about things, because it's a lot harder to be mad at someone when they're being funny about their venting! ♥
