It doesn't really bother me that much with Nakamura's writing (but, then, I haven't really read the Romantica parts of the manga) because she balances it out with enough humor and her characters are really pretty fantastic (like, Akihiko is the greatest ever, except, you know, so is just about everyone she writes) and you can tell it's not just that they PROBABLY secretly want it, it's that they're just holding themselves back for one reason or another.

And, hell, there's that one scene--where it's just after Nowaki wanted to call him "Hiroki" instead of "Hiro-san"--where they're fucking on the floor of their apartment and Hiroki is actually actively sticking his hands down Nowaki's pants and it's like. HOLY CRAP, AN UKE WHO IS ACTIVELY PARTICIPATING IN SEX? I-- IS THIS WHAT JOY FEELS LIKE?

I agree completely on Ritsu--he's just not certain he can trust Masamune or trust HIMSELF, but he clearly WANTS to, he just... can't yet. And I had to lol and lol and lol that their first time (as adults) was when he was drunk and he didn't remember it and Masamune just STARES at him the next morning and says, ".....you are the worst." I LAUGHED FOREVER. Also, the "we're both guys!" is pretty minimal here, thank god.

P.S. Akihiko is THE BEST. I LOVE HIM FOREVER. I hope he tortures his loved ones with his books forever.
