I really enjoyed the first episode of Deadman Wonderland. Then again, it was one of the series I'd really been looking forward to seeing animated. The only complaint I have (and it's not even that, really) is hearing Hanazawa Kana with the exact same voice she used in Fractale. Now I will forever associate Shiro with Nessa.

Sket Dance is fun, just nothing too special. I do kind of love the characters (and the fact that they're all a bunch of well meaning dorks), but the story itself doesn't do anything to stand out and be different. I'll stick with it for a while, but since there are other shows that are so much better, I'm not sure how long I'll keep following it. That said, Switch (the computer guy) is AWESOME. I laughed so hard at his OOC text messages. And Bossun's ridiculous ring tone. ♥

Have you seen Steins Gate yet? Because I'm enjoying that more and more with every episode. Miyano Mamoru does an incredible job of voicing the self proclaimed mad scientist main character by making him amusingly eccentric and paranoid but not actually annoying. The girls in this series are also pretty amazing. The dialogue really sparkles in this one. It also helps that the mystery is, well, VERY MYSTERIOUS.

Hanasaku Iroha had a very strong start. Now I just need to catch up with it. Ao no Exorcist also had a solid first episode. There's nothing in this season that blows me away like Madoka did last winter, but it is a lot more varied and interesting. I like that. (And really, how often do shows like Madoka come along anyway? Not very.)

This fits with the feeling of... Madoka was rewriting the laws of an imperfect universe and therefore her wish would have to be imperfect, too. But imperfection is what makes humans evolve, it's what makes them strive for better heights and, looking at the ending through that lens, I think Madoka's wish made a lot more sense.

I AGREE WITH THIS COMPLETELY. A lot of people are saying Madoka's wish was pointless when really it wasn't. It didn't change everything because, like you said, it would have completely undone all the progress mankind has made over time, but it did make things better. There was another comment on Star Crossed that summed this up really well.

“The world sucks, I wish I could change it! But sometimes the world is awesome! So I don’t want to change it that much, just enough so I don’t cry about how hopeless it is all the time because I can accept its faults and welcome its good moments.”

I guess it all comes back to the balancing act thing, like how you can't have hope without despair. In this case, you can't have happiness without sadness. Madoka's wish had to be imperfect because, well, NOTHING EVER IS. That's why I don't think it was pointless at all. If it was, nothing would have change. But things did. Not completely, but there were some definite differences.

A lot of people seem to be opposed to the idea of a spin off series, but I would totally welcome one. I genuinely do love the characters, and not just because of the situations they were thrown into. And also because I just want them all to have the best possible ending where everything is happy and shiny and wonderful.

BUT, TO BE PERFECTLY HONEST, I KIND OF NEED THE SOUNDTRACK IN MY LIFE A WHOLE LOT MORE RIGHT NOW OMG. ♥♥♥
