GOD ME TOO. I mean I love Kaichou wa Maid-sama so much more now that it's about the relationship and not the getting-together. Ditto Otomen (though Otomen has so many other things going on that it's just easier for it to not focus in the main relationship for a while).
KENTO IS A GOLDEN PRINCE. I actually loved his story with Sawako a lot, cause he was so good-natured but completely wrong in his perceptions. I loved that the series showed Kento's feeling for Sawako as obviously real but not OMG LOVE FOR ETERNITY or some such. He gets over the rejection easily - I mean teenagers are allowed to like someone without it having to be agonizing, all-powerful, painful love. I like shoujo that shows the tamer versions of liking-someone because sometimes it can be all so melodramatic. I love that Kento has sort of become friendly with them all (his epic friendship with Ayane is the most delightful thing ever) but has his own life.
SHOUJO NEEDS MORE FANDOM. I was just telling my best friend the other day that I had power in fandom (lol) I would organize a shoujo/josei manga ficathon/fic-exchange because it would be awesome to see fic about series that usually get underepresented in fandom (also, I could be selfish and impose on everybody my need to read fic about Special A and Nodame Cantabile and Gakuen Alice). Yep, that would be awesome.
As for Pin/Ayane--I firmly believe that Pin needs someone that can mess with him something terrible, given the way he's so over the top and obnoxious to everyone else. And, in reverse, for someone like Ayane, I need her to be with someone who can be really direct and sincere when necessary (which I think would get to Ayane), which I feel like Pin is, even when he's being an idiot goofball. Plus, the age difference doesn't matter much when Ayane is clearly pretty mature already.
THIS. Specially about Ayane needing someone who can be direct and sincere with her because she is such a mess - I love the manga for tackling the issue of her being a mess lately, because she is so used to playing the cool cat and people think things don't get to her but they do and she is quite neurotic at times. She is so super protective of Chizu and Sawako (& Kazehaya and Ryu) and I think sometimes she forgets to pay attention to herself and just allow herself to want things. PIN CAN FIX THAT WITH HIS COCK. I mean, yeah. ♥
