► GENERAL:
→ Oh, I just
laughed forever. I should have expected it, I suppose, but an entire group on tegaki dedicated to Doflamingo/Crocodile. LOL, I LOVE TEGAKI SO MUCH RIGHT NOW. (That pairing is still hilarious to me.) There's also a pretty active
Ao no Exorcist group, which made me happy. ♥
→ HIRO.
WHAT DID YOU DO TO YOUR HAIR? STOP IT.
→ There's going to be a
live-action Arakawa Under the Bridge drama? Both a movie and tv version? I... am not sure how I feel about that. It seems like an odd series to adapt, I'm not sure how that would go. (Despite that there were flashes of live action kappa in the anime.) Possibly awesome? Possibly really awful? I don't know! The Nino/Kou part could be super awesome, though! (What I really want to know, however: WHO WOULD PLAY SISTER?? ....it'd make my life if Nagase played him. Though, I'm not sure Nagase could do deadpan like Sister needs, even if he can totally pull off the giant part.)
► TUMBLR:
→ Sometimes tumblr is the best thing ever.
This post on Mamoru speaks so much truth:
When people tell me, "Mamoru’s boring", I think, “ಠ _ಠ We’re talking about a guy who sat down and said, ‘So I’m thinking I’m gonna go steal some diamonds and shit. But I’m pretty sure the police will never catch me. In fact, I have so much confidence in my thieving skills, I am going to intentionally wear the most cumbersome and elaborate clothes I own, just to give the police a head start. Where the hell did I put my tuxedo’”
I laughed like a maniac at random intervals for the next half hour, for real.
→ Speaking of Sailor Moon on tumblr, some more posts from the same OP (who does the Four King Hell on devART) that I found really interesting/thought provoking:
»
Is Setsuna immortal? »
Where the heck is Princess Serenity's father!?, which also gets into the familial lines in Sailor Moon and the crystals/Star Seeds and I'm intrigued by the theory she presents here.
→ My other love! Dragonball!
everythingdragonballz @tumblr is amazing, especially for the screencaps posts, they get some of the greatest moments from the series. But also. I laughed so hard at
Hipster Trunks, seriously.
► FARMVILLE:
→ Level 91! Fucking finally. It's not like I haven't been doing a ton of the greenhouse seeds (which are loads more xp than the usual crops) and been really active! And it still took me about a week to go up just that one level! Augh. (New goal: At least get to be on the first row of my neighbors. That means at least level 93.)
→ I started one morning with about 3.6 million coins, because I'd been working on my farm pretty steadily. But then the English Countryside had all these gorgeous decorations, all the little swings and benches and fences covered in roses and leafy foliage and a;sdlkjfa;lskjalkjs my weaknesssss. I must have spent well over a million coins.
→ OMG, Zynga totally listened to everyone who bitched about the pause feature and they're getting rid of it?? EXCELLENT. Now I will actually use my English Countryside more! And, even better, they're allowing the option to keep it on, if you want! That's actually really cool because sometimes you want to pause a farm if you don't want your crops withering while you're away! NOW PLZ TO LET US TRANSFER ANIMALS FROM ONE FARM TO THE OTHER. I have a polka dot sheep that is absolute needed on my EC!
→ WAHAHAHAHA SILKIE CHICKEN IS MINE NOW.
► ANIME:
→ I watched the Sekaiichi Hatsukoi OAV, which I really enjoyed! There are definitely a lot of similarities to the Junjou Romantica anime style (the art, the pacing, the way they interpret Nakamura's characters and dialogue, etc.) but I find that I'm fine with that because I like that style. The OAV definitely got me excited for the series again, making me want to immediately dig out the manga chapters I haven't yet read and making me impatient for the tv series to begin! I think I'll really love it a lot.
The voice acting was really good (I'm pleased because this is a Nakamura manga I read before seeing the anime, so I had vague ideas of the voices in my head) and I loved all the pretty floating sakura petals (which the show seemed to know what it was doing, given Takano's comment about how he got caught in a shoujo manga-style scene when he picked up the cat) and the dramatic blowing curtains! I think my only quibble with it was that you kind of had to have read the manga to know what the hell was going on? Seriously, if I didn't know the set up a few years later, I would have been confused as hell when Ritsu woke up from his dream! There was zero attempt to explain their set-up! Which was kind of important! Not enough to keep people from enjoying the OAV, but certainly it gave me pause and made me wonder what they were thinking. (Unless it was to make people so confused they'd have to go buy the manga? XD)
