Would you believe this was actually supposed to be short?

Yes, it's that time again! Time for speak of my love of two incredibly nerdy things! Well, three if you count anime watching. Which I probably should. No, wait, four! There always has to be a Pokemon update!

TUMBLR:I've been a little afk from tumblr recently because I've been on an anime-watching binge, but I'm slowly getting into the habit ( Read more... )

...wait, that water monkey Pokemon doesn't evolve without a water stone? Oh hell no, I'm dropping it too.

And you're on level 80 in FV? Wow. I'm trying not to level up too fast since I know I won't be as interested in the game after level 100 and you don't get any more FV$.

Do you breed your horses? If you do, Farmhands come up semi-regularly. And I did notice that the Arborists seem to come up more often. For me, I just wish the Arborists would harvest the orchards since I don't have any standalone trees and about 30 orchards. Harvesting them every two days is such a pain.

Feel free to feel smug about your Heart chicken -- I have two Clovers and even though I opened many a Golden egg tonight, none were elusive the Heart chicken...

And I still can't get onto the Model Farm... :( I've been wanting to visit since it was rolled out but apparently, I'm just one of the unlucky ones who can never go.

Yeah, it needs a water stone and so I was like YEAH DROPPING YOU NOW. The frustrating part is that there have only been two water pokemon that I've been able to catch so far and I dislike both of them! Though, it's still early yet, I suppose ( ... )

I actually liked the water monkey. :( But if it doesn't evolve, then that's not really much fun. At least the tadpole one evolves, though hopefully its evolutions are better than the original Poliwhirl ones.

LOL, I'm not very artistic and it drove me insane just arranging my farm the way I have it now... Trying to build hills and waterfalls would probably kill me.

You don't have a snow stallion? Or any other type of stallion? Without it, you can't breed your horses (unless you find many, many wandering stallions, I guess?).

Originally, the Heart chickens were appearing from normal Golden eggs when they were first released but I have no idea how it is now. I don't know if it's true, but I always feel like the chance of getting something new on the first day or two is always highest and when time goes on, the probability drops.

There is no Model Farm link for me. And it won't load when I click on a neighbor's post about it. And hey, I'll take the money if it's free.

I might pick up the water monkey again when I can get a water stone, then it'd be worthwhile to put the xp into it, but until then? I WILL TAKE NO WATER POKEMON OVER THAT.

You know, I've never been really fond of the waterfalls, they don't look that good when you're actually looking at the farm (only in smaller pics of the farm), but those hedges making steps/the little platforms? WANT WANT WANT WAAANT.

You don't have a snow stallion?

.....I am a genius. I have a snow stallion, actually! And I had it in my stables for the longest time and then, being a genius, couldn't figure out why I always had a stallion in the barn. And then, suddenly, I didn't always have a stallion! NEVER PUTTING TWO AND TWO TOGETHER THAT I TOOK OUT MY SNOW STALLION. orz orz orz

And it's like that on both browsers you've used? That's so bizarre. D:

Then you can breed your horses for hopefully many 100 XP and a couple Farmhands. If you do that every day, you'll have more than enough Farmhands to last you. Just leave your snow stallion inside (along with any pretty horses you want to breed), and take out all your normals (black, grey, brown). When they hit 34%, start putting them in your stable one by one and harvest after each one. Depending on how many horses you have, you could get a ton of money, XP, Farmhands and Arborists every day...

I just think the waterfalls idea is really cool. I never would have even thought of something like that. The steps are also really cool. I just stare at them in wonder sometimes.

Yup, the Model Farm is just non-existent in terms of my account. I talked to Zynga's customer service about it and they basically confirmed the fact that some people just aren't able to get on it and I'm one of those unlucky few.

I am totally going to rearrange my stable now, thank you for the tips! Speaking of horses--is there any way to grow the foals up? I have way more pretty foals than I do pretty horses and those are the ones I'd really like to focus on. Is there some special trick to the nursery or does it just not work that way? Or are they like eggs--only your friends can get them once the foal is grown?

I would really love to see Farmville incorporate some way of letting people do actual water pieces, not just ponds, but like the fences, where you could connect them together, because it would be so cool to make actual little rivers or waterfalls in the game! *___*

Yeah, it's like the eggs unfortunately. You can't keep your own foals or your calves. It's really too bad. And even when you get them from your neighbor, they turn into normal animals in the nursery barn (which sucks even more). I get FV's reasoning with how it's not fair for the people who paid money for the animals but for people like me who are determined not to spend a dime on a FB game, it's really hard...

I think if there were ever rivers or connectable waterfalls to rivers, it would cost a lot of FV$. But it would definitely look pretty awesome.

I understand that they're not running a game that's meant to be entirely free, but goddamn that's frustrating. I refuse to spend real world money on the game as well (and I'm doing pretty well considering) but I'm not spending FV$ on horses that aren't even going to display if I'm breeding them!

Given how many waterfall designs (or road designs!) I see, I keep thinking, man, they'd make a lot of money if they did....
