I can't say I would mind if they went there in the show, after taking Karofsky down a redemptive road, but it couldn't happen for at least a year, otherwise you're just getting into weird "falling in love with your abuser" territory and DO NOT WANT. Because, even if Kurt does come to understand where Karofsky was coming from, even if he forgives Karofsky, even if Karofsky is genuinely sorry about it someday, for a long time you're still going to remember that terror they made you feel.

If they want to have it happen in s3 (which I don't think they will) after they put a lot of work into the storyline? Maybe. But right now, I'm hoping that anywhere the storyline goes is focused on Karofsky as a person dealing with this issue, rather than it being about a ship.

But fandom? Fandom is free to play with anything, especially because fandom isn't constrained by the time limits an actual show has on it. We can focus on one character in a way the show can't, we can write futurefic in a way the show can't, etc. So, yeah, I totally ship Karofsky/Kurt in fandom, but not quite so much on the show. (Though, I would be lying if I said I didn't hope that Karofsky does have an attraction to him, that it's not just about lashing out at the kid that represents everything he's trying to deny. Though, that latter part is extremely important and I don't like to see Karofsky written off as retaliatory just because Kurt doesn't return his feelings. It's about a WHOLE LOT MORE than that, really.)

You know, one of those "scared straight" camps could really explain a lot. I'm trying not to let myself be convinced of anything before it happens (which is the best way to get Jossed, after all), but Sue's comment really made me think it was something with bullying and, holy crap, would that ever fit the bill.

I love Rachel and Kurt friendship so much, all the more because they're frequently very similar people and she's encouraging him! Even when he's their competition! Genuinely supportive, happy Rachel! My heart! ♥
