Anyway, to the brighter points: I also really liked how they treated Kenta's lecture to Manabe here! I thought it was very well done: One the one hand, Kenta's believable and understandable lecture, which really showed his maturity; on the other hand Manabe's broken reaction which showed that, while she hadn't really acted correctly in withholding the information from the cast, she HAD tried as much as she could to rescue the show, which means that she does actually live what she preached to Kenta in the beginning - that she isn't running away from her problems but tries to solve them. (Even if she's less of a team fighter there than she should be.)
So yes - I really love Manabe's portrayal here! ^-^ ...And Urara's portrayal, who is so cracked out, and so similar to the way she was in the beginning, except now we know more about her and realize that actually, she's a really nice and caring person in her own way. ^-^ (Really, why is Akane the only female person so far whose portrayal has been very annoying?)
And Himuro! Himuro, who hasn't changed, who'll likely never change either, but who comes off as completely non-villainy, just because he's so batshit crazy and open about thinking that he's the best person for that show ever. XD (I love Himuro, and I love how his actor seems to have the greatest time playing him. ^-^)
Anzai... every time I see him I can't help but think that he must be SO MUCH FUN to play! Seriously, that guy delights in being such a nuisance to EVERYONE around him (t-that poor security guard) and is so comfortable being a dick (to use your choice of words ;P) - it must be really cool playing a character like him.
Also, I'm really relieved that the show, while clearly making him the main villain, refrained from blaming him for everything. Because, as he said to Kenta, he was the one who demanded Kenta to be kicked from the band - but Akane and the sheep guys were the ones who made the final decision of going through with it. In the end, they're guilty of having made that choice, no matter what he tempted them with.
And the rest of the episode - you already said it. Sho! XDD Sho, who I love so much for being so obviously unable to keep a straight face when it comes to Ohno! ^-^ (Seriously, some of my favourite moments on any Arashi show is Sho absolutely helplessly cracking up at either Aiba or Ohno. &hearts)

I AM SO GLAD I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO STILL LOVES HIMURO. And that I just can't really see him as a villain, not even after he was a jerk to Kenta and Mamoru. He really doesn't seem to be malicious at heart, just that he thinks there are certain ways you get things through people's heads and, you know, has a HUUUUUGE EGO. (I hope he never changes. XD)
Or that I'm not the only one who thinks Anzai is kind of a delight to watch! And AGREED SO HARD that the show made him the villain, but didn't let Giselle off the hook for their choices, because they still made them. I love it because he's not some evil genius out to ruin everyone's life, he's just a producer who's good at his job and not a soft touch. I love it because he's so quirky and amusing to watch, yet you don't want to cross him!
I love that this show got together this really ecclectic cast of characters, yet still managed to make most of them so human and interesting in such a short amount of time.
AND OMG I WANT OHNO CRACKING SHO UP FOREVER. And more cross-promotional drama stuff! GOD, I love that Arashi has been doing that fairly regularly! *wistful* I wish they were on the same network (or that Nino was on the same one--though, I'm not sure which is on which station anymore) so that we could get more cross-promotional stuff. I LOVE IT WHEN THEY DO STUFF LIKE THAT.

I think Manabe described Anzai really well, when she talked about him - how he's really, really successful in business, but is also really cold and heartless. (Or that's what I got out of her explanation to Kenta... it's been more than a week since I watched this.)
It's the vibe I get from him - he can be hilarious, with the things he does, but I really wouldn't want to work for that kind of character, because he'd just as well stab you in the back if it helped him make money, as produce you. And I think that's what makes him such a believable villain, because he isn't BAD, per se, and he also isn't malicious, in the way that Himuro tried to be on the first episodes; but he's completely uninterested in anything that doesn't further his goals, and that's what makes him so scary. He's definitely a very interesting character!
I kind of want Sho and Jun to show up in each other's shows, even though I know that it would be completely impossible. ^^"
Also, talking of showing up, I just read Circe's response and YES! AnS appearance for Shun FINALLY, PLEASE NETWORKS, MAKE THIS HAPPEN! *___*

I really like Anzai because he doesn't really make any secret at all of what kind of producer he is, even when he's manipulative of people. He gives people just enough rope to wrap themselves up in it, getting people to be right where he wants them. But none of it is personal, he isn't going to destroy your life just because he can. He's only interested in furthering his own goals and I am totally agreed that he's fascinating to watch, but I would NOT want to work for him.
*pines* I don't think we have a chance at Shun showing up on Shukudai-kun because the drama is on another network and they wouldn't want to promote someone else's show like that (Tenchijin, Shun's other drama, is also on another network, booooo!), but I'm still crossing my fingers for a Himitsu no Arashi-chan appearance, even if I know it wouldn't be nearly as awesome. ;__;
