Back to Arashi fangirling! o/

Mar 20, 2009 08:24

I have spent the last two days doing little more than watch a lot of (for me) Keitai Sousakan 7 and the urge to try to make all of you watch it with me is steadily growing. Except that I'm kind of terrible about properly pimping a show out! Made worse by how I know I keep flinging recommendations for tokusatsu shows around a lot, but I MEAN IT ( Read more... )

arashi pv, gay rainbow band, music station, arashi no shukudai-kun, tokusatsu nerdery, music japan, hey hey hey, keitai sousakan 7

You know, I had no idea that Miike was involved with it, but that makes sense now that you mention it. And also gives me a lot of hope that the Yatterman movie will be just as awesome as the trailers look, because K7 is SO GREAT OMG.

*PINES* I want a K7 icon like you wouldn't believe. But I-- I'd probably have to make my own, wouldn't I? D:

What do you think I spent the morning doing? (Well, I was looking for Decade icons, but I kept an eye out for K7, too.) Nobody makes them! CATER TO MY NEEDS, FANDOM. D:<

*toddles past on the way out the door* I'll be back!

But for now--that guy is Kobayashi Kendo and I know he's familiar. Yet despite all the 'I know I've seen him, like, everywhere!' feeling the only place I can actually recall seeing him is on the second of the VS Arashi specials. He was captain of the entertainer team. BUT I KNOW I'VE SEEN HIM BEFORE. Maybe he was a Shukudai guest?

(Ps. Re: Slippery slope. Oh, you just HAD to say that, didn't you? Now I've got filthy, pervy thoughts in my head.)

Take your time as always! ♥

EXCEPT FOR THE PART WHERE YOU REMINDED ME OF THAT. Because, yeah, I know I've seen Kobayashi Kendo somewhere before, I spent the whole first half of the episode trying to place him, except it's not coming to mind. I assume it must be some tv appearance on some JE show, but damn if I can place him. (If we both know him from somewhere, it was probably an Arashi guest spot then, too. Maybe one of the old __ no Arashi shows or VS ARASHI?)

Ps. Re: Slippery slope. Oh, you just HAD to say that, didn't you? Now I've got filthy, pervy thoughts in my head.

Welcome to my world. I pretty much think that every time Jun, well, stands around somewhere. Let's blame him and his slinky poses! He WANTS us to think filthy things on a slippery slope!

I don't think your world immediately tries to produce porn. DDDD:

"Matsujun needs a haircut," Aiba said, his voice even breathier than usual.

Jun shuddered and clutched the edge of the makeup table and tried to summon enough energy to lift his head and glare at Aiba. He managed to get his head up but he couldn't glare as he caught sight of Aiba's eyes hot on him in the mirror. Jesus, they were fucking in the makeup room; Aiba had him bent over the counter, practically pressed up against the mirror, and he was talking about his hair? "What ( ... )

He could see it when he closed his eyes, could still see it even when he forced them open again. Nino and Ohno would have held Sho down, had to have because Sho just didn't do sex at work. But if they held him down… and Nino's voice was wicked with promises and his body everywhere, no matter where Sho moved to escape. Sho's soft, pouty lips falling open as he moaned deep in his chest and Ohno's hands, all long fingers and finesse right there and Ohno, looking up with sharp, focused eyes at Aiba ( ... )

I got the sense that a lot of it was from the guy's complete and total fail, judging by the way there was that awkward pause and then everyone was obviously laughing at him, but still. Manzai is never going to be my thing. Or impressions. XDDD

YES. AHAHAHAHA, DON'T WORRY HE'LL STOP YOU and then Jun keeps looking over at him during these long pauses, and Ohno just stares quietly back and a;sldkfjasl;kjs he is such a little bastard. I love Ohno forever and a;sldkfja;slkjaslj AIBA. AIBA MASAKI. HE TOLD HIS MOTHER'S AGE ON NATIONAL TV? CRYING.

*pats* Good luck with packing, I would totally help if I could. <3 How far along are you/how much do you have left to do?

Maybe it's an acquired taste, maybe I'd find it funnier if I were exposed to it more. Though, I do like it when they switch it up a little--I forget their names, but that one comedy duo who was really popular, with the girl who had the really deep voice and the crush on Aiba for the longest time. I remember being genuinely amused by their act together.

SERIOUSLY, I DO NOT KNOW HOW HE IS NOT DEAD ALREADY. HE HAS SOME SORT OF SUPER NATURAL ABILITY, I AM CONVINCED.

When do you leave/have to be packed by? AND MOST IMPORTANTLY WILL YOU HAVE INTERNET ACCESS WHEN YOU GET THERE? AND LOTS OF TIME TO WASTE ON STUPID BOYBANDERS AND DRAMAS? If not, I'm afraid I'll have to give you my disapproving face. :|

Shukudai-kun - FOR SERIOUS. I would watch Ohno be the MC for any show, but especially if it was a corner where he asked his bandmates questions, because you know he would be a little bastard about it every week. And the others would totally egg him on, because as long as it's not happening to them, it's funny!

Sort of on a tangental note--I was looking at Shukudai-kun ratings and, holy shit, they're back up into the 7 or 8% range! On a show that's on REALLY LATE AT NIGHT. Himitsu, take a lesson from this show, okay? Arashi is really popular right now! Let them do stupid shit! You're in PRIME TIME, THINK OF THE RATINGS IT COULD GET YOU.

Failboat - I'm sort of afraid to get my hopes up. I want Jun on the Lego Failboat so badly that I could explode from it. If he's not on there, I'm going to be crushed. But if he is? OH GOD LOL. It'll probably be the one time in the history of ever that it's not a failboat, it'll be a winboat. MATSUMOTO WILL MAKE SURE THEY DO IT RIGHT, EVEN IF HE HAS TO BEAT THEM ON THE HEAD UNTIL THEY DO ( ... )

You know what else I would watch? Ohno MC'ing an interview with Aiba. That "Don't worry about what you say, they'll just bleep it anyway!" bit? WOULD ACTUALLY KEEP THE CENSORS ON THEIR TOES. Also, I would be up for Ohno and Sho doing more of ANYTHING--seriously, why are they so wonderful together? Why do I love them so much my heart could explode from it?

It's almost harder when Himitsu has a good episode (the show with Sho/Jun doing the one-in-a-hundred shots was kind of awesome, oh, Sho, your WHINE FACE, why so awesome?) because it's what the show could be that kills me. I mean, I'm not an expert on Japan or anything, but isn't the reason Arashi is popular is because they're a bunch of DORKS? Let them be dorks ( ... )
