♥ - VS ARASHI #32 [2008.11.22] subbed - So, I've been making my way back through all the episodes I let pile up while I was doing my crazypants thing on tomomichi and I decided to start with this one, since I still had it on my harddrive.

It's a solid episode in the first ten minutes or so, not much I can really flail about, but a really enjoyable time and it's fun to see Arashi joking around and having fun with the guests. (Banana Man, I think?) But watching Ohno just sort of lounging around in the middle of the falling pipes while waiting, sitting there slouched over like he doesn't have a care in the world, was too freaking adorable. Same for how they were all teasing him about how it would be really cool if he could catch anything in that pose, but it'll be really embarassing if he doesn't and a;sldjkfals;jk the little smile on Ohno's face! So adorable!

The distracting talk, however, was kind of interesting. Since I've only been vaguely keeping tabs on Arashi lately, I didn't know that Ohno has been practicing magic sometimes now, too? a;lsdkjfaljs adorable little Ohmiya are seriousl just going to merge into one person someday, I'm sure of it.

And, okay, so Ohno didn't catch anything. But it's okay, because he's so adorable at it! And when he doesn't come down off the game for ages and it's not until Nino snaps at him like a fishwife that he finally comes down.

Himura-san vs Jun was kind of fun, though, I have to admit, I wouldn't want to be the one in a staring contest with Jun, especially if he was about to pull out the one where he looks about five seconds away from choking a bitch. I have to hand it to Himura-san, though, for not backing down before Itou-san defuses the whole situation. Though, it does keep coming back up and when Jun finally snaps at Himura-san (in a way that's obviously kidding), I love Nino A WHOLE LOT for piping up with "WOW, I haven't seen him this angry since he was playing Doumyouji! :D"

And obviously Jun is just playing the entire time, because he's cracking up the other half of the time, but it's really cute and fun to watch. It's even more adorable because Jun does a double catch and gets 400 points for it and seriously. Has someone totaled up everyone's scores on Falling Pipe and averaged them out yet? Not that I've watched all the episodes, I skipped a bunch, but I swear Jun's got to have one of the best averages on the show.

Sho was also totally adorable with his fail to get more than halfway up the cliffclimb and his face when the timer finally ran out! XD It's okay, he can Ohno can be lame and embarrassing together. <3 Also, SHO. GOING ASS FIRST INTO THE CAMERA. CRYING. I LAUGHED REALLY, REALLY HARD.

ESPECIALLY WHEN EVERYONE RAN OVER TO THE CAMERA GUY INSTEAD OF SHO, WHO NEARLY RAMMED INTO THE GUY. WITH HIS BUTT.

AND THEN THEY REPLAY IT.

OH GOD I LOVE THIS SHOW.

AND NINO HELPING BLOCK SHO'S FACE AFTER SHO'S BEEN THOROUGHLY EMBARASSED.

And then, they're discussing whether or not the guests can turn the situation around and Itou-san is like, "Nope. :/" and they put up a picture of him with that expression and I really, really, really love this show.

The afterwards bit was great, too, when they were discussing the show and Himura-san comes in and is like WHO ARE YOU STILL CALLING A MOLE and tries to get in their faces about talking bad about him behind their backs, but they just leave anyway and Jun tries to put his bitch face on, like, "What the hell are you following us around for so much anyway?" and Himura just TOTALLY RUINS IT by saying, "WELL IT'S BECAUSE YOU'RE SO COOL." and Jun totally cracks up.

I was a little disappointed that there were only two games for this episode (though, it's understandable, since Arashi got 400 in the first round while the guests only got 30, which meant they really had no chance of catching up, but it would have been fun to see a third game where they got to just totally screw around with it), but they made up for it with having extra long talks that were maybe even a little more fun than the games would have been. (At least when the show is subbed. XD)

♥ - VS ARASHI #34 [2008.12.06] subbed - This episode started out adorable right from the beginning, because Aiba, Jun, and Ohno all had these cute diamond-patterned jackets on that matched each other. Nino and Sho both had zip-up jackets, too, but I don't think either of them had patterns? I'm still a sucker for when any of the boys dress to a theme like this. <3 And this episode had a husband and wife team who were kind of totally adorable together and HOLY SHIT THE SIZE OF THAT GUY'S ARMS.

And I love scary wrestling lady screaming all the way back down during cliff climb and her husband being over there to help her if she needs it, catching her hands as she jumps down. And he says, see, she's cute! :D And I thought that was just super, super adorable. <3

Of course, it's always funny when they make fun of Sho, who is hilarious when he starts expertly talking about Cliff Climb and Hokuto-san staying true to her strategy, rather than going for the 50-point button on the other side, and Nino and Jun are like, "....wtf, since when are you an expert?" and Sho just keeps determinedly going on like an expert, until Nino leads him over to the wall by grabbing his arm and saying, okay, please get him ready for Cliff Climb! a;lskdjfaslkj god I love Sho and his tiny BFF.

Naturally, when Sho asks, well, who's going to be my supporter then and the rest of his bandmates start immediately pointing at each other, which doesn't work, so they janken for it. I know it's a gag and they've done it a bunch of times already, but I still love it. And Jun's AW CRAP when he loses at the janken game and everyone just laughing at his reaction and just. a;sdlkfjaslkj BOYS. I LOVE THEM.

Though, really, Sho's actually good at Cliff Climb, he's fast and he's got the arm strength to pull himself up and I remember that there are times when it's not so much warm-hearted love that I have for Sho as it is an OMG I WOULD DO HIM SO HARD AND HE IS GOING TO BE MY HUSBAND SOMEDAY YUM kind of love. He's really good at the game and I even loved his awesome little spin as he flew down and his dorkishly adorable pose at the end. <3

After that, Rolling Coin Tower, which was fun in the usual way, because I still don't know how I get so sucked into this game, it's such a silly one! And yet, just about every time, I watch closely to see who'll win, to see who plays well, who staggers the coins the best, who has the steadiest hands (Aiba/Nino is such an awesome team, I'm not surprised they won at all <3) and this one didn't go on for too long, but it was fun like always. ....you can tell it's hard to think of what to say about it, but it was fun!

Falling Pipe was fun, too, if only for the conversation around it--it was adorable to watch Kensuke say nice things about Aiba that you knew were true, that Aiba really is good to his sempai and a nice person, but that it was also about guilt-tripping him into choosing easy pipes. And... yeah, okay, I was all, "....♥♥♥" that Jun goes over and basically says DON'T YOU EVEN THINK ABOUT IT, YOU MUST NOT GET CONFUSED BY ALL OF THIS.

Aiba is like, "YOU'RE RIGHT. THIS IS A MATCH! THE OPPORTUNITY TO WIN OVER KENSUKE-SAN IS ONLY IN THIS GAME OR MARIO KART!"

And OMFG YOU GUYS. Do you know how hard I would watch a show where Arashi played Mario Kart against each other? Especially if you get evil little fucker otaku gamer Ninomiya in there. The shrieks of utter rage and frustration as they all tried to beat each other! I WOULD WATCH IT EVERY WEEK.

Anyway. Right. Jun going over to straighten Aiba out and make sure he doesn't lose focus kind of made me shriek with glee a little, you guys shut up it has been awhile since I was full force into Arashi, I will OTP THEM IF I WANT TO. *BREATHES*

Especially since Aiba starts to lose his confidence as Kensuke's sure Aiba chose the #1 pipe because he's an upstanding guy (he actually chose #3 and #4) and he obviously feels guilty, so Jun goes over again and says BE CONFIDENT AND DO IT. Basically Jun tells him to man up and DO IT.

as;dlfkjal;skja;lskjaslkjslj THANK YOU, ARASHI. THANK YOU FOR GIVING ME SO MUCH FODDER. THANK YOU FOR VALIDATING ME. I LOVE YOU ALL. ESPECIALLY YOU, MATSUMOTO.

What I do find interesting is that, okay, it's been awhile since I watched much VSA, but suddenly they're all over Ohno for being the most unreliable, because last time he played Falling Pipe, he didn't catch anything and asl;dfjkals;kj weren't you guys the ones being all praiseful of Ohno before that, saying he was the best at this game? I remember thinking, yeah, but I bet Jun had a higher average! So, it's odd all of a sudden that they're teasing Ohno about being unreliable. XD But it was totally worth it for Nino being all, "Well, last time, after what happened, I thought maybe you should be suspended..." and Ohno's sitting in seiza so Aiba goes HEY IT'S NOT LIKE WE'RE MAD, SO YOU DON'T HAVE TO SIT LIKE THAT and a;lsdjkfal;sjk I love them all.

Also, Ohno is a smart little bastard. He knows that, when you look like you might be in trouble with your bandmates, because they're starting to tease you and Sho's saying, you know, up until now, you haven't done anything in this episode, despite that there's only 10 minutes left until it ends, so, the thing to do to get yourself out of trouble? Snap back at Sho and say WELL, IT'S YOUR FAULT and the rest of them will be like YAY OUR FAVORITE PASSTIME! \o/ BLAMING SHO FOR THINGS! \o/

And, sure enough. It works like a charm! XD

Ohno actually does pretty good with the double catch and getting 150 points. Also, the teasing with Hokuto-san using "boku" and then Itou-san using "boku" and as;dlkfja;sljk I love Itou-san so much on this show. I also love Nino for playing along with the joke and for having kind of a really good bluffing face when Hokuto-san originally picks the two choices he had on the pipe. Enough so that she actually changes her position to different ones and-- I don't understand why people have been kneeling lately, surely that makes it more difficult to reach the other side if you place yourself opposite to the ones that are dropped?

The afterwards skit was adorable, too, Aiba whacking Sho in the face while he was "interviewing" him and the others being like, yeah, you guys keep doing that, we're going home now. So, overall the episode was really fun and great to watch, this is why I swear VSA is turning into one of my favorite shows for Arashi.

♥ - Arashi no Shukudai-kun #111 [2008.11.24] subbed - So, they have Suzanne on the show and she starts it off by giving them all really terrible nicknames and a;sldkfjalsjk I kind of loved her right from that. Nino's FACE at his! And everyone teasing Jun about being nicknamed "J"! XD

Actually, Nino was kind of stealing a lot of moments of awesome in this episode. Randomly draping an arm over Ohno's shoulder during the food segment, practically gleeing that Aiba made "J" mad, getting Jun to snap YOU JUST WANTED TO SAY "J" DIDN'T YOU and Nino hiding his face from Jun's glare, and then some more draping himself all over Ohno.

There were some cute Aiba/Jun moments, too, Jun smacking Aiba on the head when Aiba was all WELL, WHATEVER, ONTO THE NEXT THING~! after he made the mistake, which I thought was fun. Whatever, shut up, I liked it. I also liked Suzanne talking about her totally conspicuous outfit she wears as a "disguise" and Sho's like HEY I WANT TO SEE OHNO TRY IT and just hands it right on over, which was adorable. I love that they still give Ohno shit about sticking his jaw out to be "unrecognizable".

And then Ogura-san gets my love for turning to Jun and saying, you go out in disguise a lot, too, right? And Jun's, well, I do wear hats and sunglasses a lot, but people totally know it's me. And Aiba is like AHAHAHA THAT'S BECAUSE EVERY PART OF YOU LOOKS SO FLASHY! The hat is flashy, the sunglasses are flashy, etc.! a;sdlkfjasl;jk I LOVE HIM. I LOVE THAT HE TOTALLY JUST CALLED JUN OUT ON BEING WAY TOO MUCH OF A FASHIONISTA TO NOT GET RECOGNIZED. I love that only Aiba could get out of that unscathed.

Even if Jun was like, "You should tell me about that. :D The things that stand out. :D" and Aiba's like PFT LIKE YOU'D CHANGE, to Jun's, "No, I would. :D I would totally change. :D" and, really. Even Sho knows to change the subject before Jun tears Aiba's face off. XD

The next bit was also kind of really hilarious. So, the guest is a girl who's all, "I'm working really hard to become a tsundere type!" and they're like, "....um. What?" And the announcer is like, "Well, we're not sure she understands what tsundere means." So, they say, well, can you give us an example of what kind of tsundere behavior you're working towards? And she says, sure! I've been practicing! So they janken to see who'll be her practice partner.

as;dlfkjasljks of course Jun wins.

Because Arashi loves me.

And Jun says, "So, this is a tsundere battle, huh?" and as;dlfkja;lskj I know what he means. But for a split second I was like, "BATTLE OF THE TWO TSUNDERE! \o/ WHO WILL BE THE MOST TSUNDERE OF ALL? .....MY MONEY IS ON MATSUMOTO."

And, honestly. Jun was a way better tsundere in this skit. And I can't tell you how hard I cracked up at how bad she was at it, how Jun snapped "MAN, you're annoying!" at her or how much I LOL'd when Jun explained what a proper tsundere was, including how the skit should have gone.

Yes, of course.

Of course Jun knows exactly what a tsundere is and how they would react to the proposed skit and I just cannot make it any funnier because watching Jun be the perfect tsundere type was LOL all by itself.

The NEWS SHUKUDAI thing was all right, but I kind of couldn't entirely get a read on whether or not Suzanne (and later Aiba) were acting dumb on purpose or if they were just total fail at it. I kind of lean towards thinking it was the former, because they're kind of obviously going for the silly comments rather smoothly, rather than trying to sound genuinely smart, but something about it didn't quite work for me. Also, well. It wouldn't be funny if they did well, so of course they're doing it on purpose. (Especially since, during the Ogura-san + Sho version of it, Aiba was kind of surprised that they were doing it all normal-like, instead of making it funny or interesting. XD Same for Aiba's crack about whether or not Ogura-san would shout, "Amatatsu~"--and god, Nino's face as he totally cracked up at that.)

Just. I get kind of itchy when I suspect that people will genuinely think that Aiba's stupid. XD

Anyway, it was a really cute and fun episode, I enjoyed it a lot! as;ldkfjal;sjk fandom is so spoiling us with all these wonderful subs. <3

♥ - auBOX MatsuJun ver. subbed - Not that you really need this commercial subbed, since there are hardly any lines in it, but! It's still SO FREAKING CUTE and it is really nice to have the subs that I had to at least mention it.

Still kind of "...." about how much Jun reminds me of Hiro in this, though. XD
