Wow, I'm only on episode 10? I'd have thought I'd be further along than that by now. orz Anyway, on to Kamen Rider Kabuto, SPOILERS for the episode listed at the very least (and very likely into the 30s and possibly the whole series), I don't plan these things in advance, we'll see from there.

That's it, exactly! I'm actually rather easily drawn into things, so it's pretty easy to get me into reports even if there isn't much Arashi antics going around, but as far as I could tell, this was pretty much an advertising for one (or maybe a few) skin care products with ...something... inside them to make the skin very smooth again. (Maybe the well-loved collagen?)
And ads are BORING. Plus, those people they got there were nice, but - it would have been OK with just two or maybe three of them, they didn't need FIVE! v-v" (Even if it was totally nice to see Matsui-san again! She's just such a lovely, crazy person and she really seems to like the Arashi boys a lot.)
Jun and Mao... yes, maybe I'll see them differently after Himitsu #12. ^-^

I wonder whether this is partly because of my dislike of shipping romantic leads? Or rather, my dislike of how quickly magazines (and many fans) decide that two actors MUST be a couple, because they played a couple in a movie and because they were seen having lunch together, or something. It makes me want to go "or they MIGHT just be friends/colleagues, who just enjoy talking with each other" at those people.
I try not to let something like that cloud my judgement on Jun and Mao, but it might still affect me.
The other thing that I have, though, is exactly what you talked about:
I kind of get the impression that they'd just be really comfortable around each other and just hang out to watch movies or go for a drive or something, if they had the time. Or, who knows, maybe read drama scripts at each other
See, I can envision them doing exactly that together - but then I try to imagine them kissing or touching romantically between that and my mind just draws a blank. And it's not even the het thing, but just that in my head, Jun and Mao might think about being a couple, or even try it, but go back to being friends very soon, because there's love, but not really any romantic love there. (Like I can't imagine Nino and Jun, or Nino and Aiba being a couple. They undoubtly love each other a lot, it's just that it's not that kind of love.)
