:D :D :D (I should probably be replying to your, um, other replies first, but whatever, I can't help myself.)

I was giggling over the mentions of Aiba in Jun's interview as well. Whenever things like that happen completely by coincidence, I sort of start wondering if maybe the interviewer is noticing things as well. But those are the kinds of thoughts I generally don't voice to other people because they're probably the first sign of insanity or something. Hahaha, I bet Jun would love you - SO EASY TO TERRORIZE :D :D.

D no Arashi is golden. I freaked out when they got into the cars too. I think I would have been fine with it if there weren't two of them driving RIGHT NEXT TO EACH OTHER. I kept expecting someone to start listing off to the side (*cough*MATSUJUN*cough*) and suddenly there would be this screech of metal and it would all be over. I love that I am genuinely interested in most of these experiments. When I saw the preview of 75, I was like "BUT I WANT TO SEE THE CHESTNUT VS URCHIN BATTLE NOW!! ...oh and more of the ( ... )

I LOVED this episode of Himitsu no Arashi-chan. Nino was amaaaazing (I am constantly amused by the contrast of "OCEAN! :D FISHING! :D I WAS TOTALLY A DOLPHIN IN A PAST LIFE!! :D" Ohno and "Ocean. >:( Seasick. OMFG GET IT AWAY" Nino.) I even watched the whole bug part. I get totally freaked out by them in real life, but I was actually fine with this, partly because they were just on my computer screen and not really in front of me and partly because I'm a photography geek. Ohno's bug phobia is never not hilarious, I-I didn't even think of it until you brought it up, though. I also loved Nino SNAPPING Aiba's underwear after he looked at it. The sound was so loud, it had to have hurt. But Aiba's just all :D :D :D the whole time Sho and Nino have their hands practically down his pants, winThe VS Arashi guests have been getting advantages, but only when they're women, as far as I can tell. I think Arashi have just been having a streak of bad luck. It seems like being successful in the first and last games depends a lot on chance ( ... )

I still have another comment thread of ours around (the original one, I think?) so it's not like there's any hurry, there'll be plenty of time for both of us to drag our feet on. XD

In all seriousness, I imagine it's mostly a combination of being just a coincidence and me noticing it more because I'm looking for it. (Aiba being mentioned in Jun's solo interviews more than the others.) It doesn't really mean anything. But sometimes I do have to pause for just a moment and go "...." a ltitle because it certainly seems to be a really consistent coincidence. (And OMG I WOULD FREAK OUT SO BADLY. Yet another reason why I should probably never meet Jun in person.)

AHAHAHAHA I HADN'T EVEN THOUGHT OF THAT. I'm assuming this was before Jun scratched Aiba's car, but still. (I love that everyone thinks that Aiba would probably be the horrible driver because he's so flaily and then, no, it's totally Matsujun who scratches his car.) And admittedly they were just going in a straight line and not very far but OH MY GOD, I cannot believe ( ... )

I've had some of the same reservations about Ohno's drama. I totally think he's a fantastic actor and I really, really want everyone else to be able to see it, too! But it feels like such high expectations are being put on this drama already and it's the first proper drama Ohno's done and it's while he'll have a dozen other committments to juggle at the same time. Stage plays are one thing, a weekly drama is another. I don't care how well he does, but I'd be crabby if other people thought ill of him for it. (Yet I'm kind of really excited! Ohno and Toma should be delightful together!)

I'm sort of wary of getting my hopes up over Himitsu no Arashi-chan, because it's still early and it seems like it must be a lot of work to do those segments every week. I don't want to go OMG HIMITSU IS TOTALLY AWESOME NOW and then have too high of an expectation for the next one and be disappointed. But. I'm cautiously optimistic. Because these were great episodes and Nino at SeaWorld was just. Yes. Of course they make the guys who hate it ( ... )

That's the thing about tinhatting. Coincidences start to mean so much more because of all the other places you see them happening. This isn't necessarily related to interviews anymore, but it's like... yes, if this were happening with any other two people it wouldn't be a big deal, but there is context to everything and when put in the context of an already existing relationship and the personalities of the two people involved, certain actions take on totally different meanings.

Mmmph, I miss A no Arashi. I feel like there isn't quite enough variety for me in the Odoroki SPs. Not that I don't manage to get a kick out of the boating parts every time, but still. Sometimes I think the scale is too large. Just because they've got the budget to do these things doesn't mean they should abandon all the stupid tiny experiments. Aiba putting eggs in weird shit to see how they'll taste was hilarious and probably cost almost nothing. I miss the stuff like that. ;_ ( ... )

That's the problem with tinhatting right there--there might actually be something there, but unless casual readers have seen you talk about all the context leading up to that tiny little moment or have seen all the other little moments that make up the greater whole themselves, you look like an insane batshit shipper. Like you're on the same level as "They were standing next to each other, LOL! OTP!" because of one little thing. It's... also hard to convey that you kinda know what you're doing (taking a tiny little moment and making a huge deal of it), put a humorous spin on it so you don't seem quite so crazy, and yet not be totally dismissive/insulting to those who are seriously shipping it. Ah, the difficulties in the life of a tinhat fangirl shipper. XD ( ... )

Lol, tinhatting is SERIOUS BUSINESS. It is difficult, because while you could just say to yourself, "well I've got the right people on my flist, they know my style of tinhatting and they know where I'm coming from", these entries are public. And if you're mistaken for a batshit shipper it's not a huge deal, but the last thing you want to do is scare people away from the pairing itself, which could easily happen if they're lacking context. *sighs ( ... )
